That's cute but maybe I'm old school because pin curls are when you actually curl your hair with your fingers and pin them with the single prong clips and those are just heated curls pined up to keep the shape. This maybe the new way of pin curling but I like it.

When you sewed it in, did you go through the bead or around it?
Around the small portion of hair at the top of the bead. The bead is aluminum you can't sew through it. I'll show a better angle of it in the takedown video.
