Syleena, a lot of artists don't have live instrumentation money. Records labels ain't tryna do all that anymore because it's too expensive. Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis interviewed and said the label told them that real music is too much for today's current artists. You either adapt to trap and rap or simply get left behind. Radio is not playin' older artists' new music anymore because they're no longer tied to major labels. Mýa is still holding it down and producing great, feel good music, but radio won't play it. She _cain't_ even get on _mainskream_ television. Kem, Kelly Price, Will Downing and a few others still make true blue r&b music, but it gets overlooked. Anyway, Mr. Lenny Williams... I know a few records, but from his era, Imma have to rock w/ my grandfather, Mr. Stevie Wonder or Uncle Charlie. Mr. Williams' vocal style has always been dope though.
