Fantastic video. The fact that people take lakhs and crores worth of loans for non essential goods and services is the biggest problem here. My parents always taught me to live within your means. Never owned a credit card nor have any EMIs. Bought a car recently that too by paying full cash. Simple rule of thumb is if you can't afford to buy it in cash, you can't afford it. Period.
Facebook just laid off 11,000 employees for whatever reasons. Just goes to show no job is safe and if you aren't saving for a rainy day you will struggle.

    My formula is very simple
    If income is ₹ 100
    Investment / Savings = 30 min
    Loan / EMIs = 20 max
Remaining other exp = 50 max
As an individual i will never compromise on savings and investments. I bought a home for self living with EMI less than 15% of my total income. I had kept on postponed major loans till I become financial sound.

this is very very true, i really dont understand how ppl r taking crores of rupees home loan these days when there is nothing fixed n conditions r very volatile, its too risky n employers take advantage of employees who r in this situation by exploiting them as they knw ki ye bande ka emi chalu toh ye chodke ke kahi nahi jane wala toh isse jo chahe wo kara lo. 1 time i can understand small loans like 2,4 wheeler etc but home loans r a debt trap

I have switched my jobs 7-8 times after that and have realised that private jobs are nothing but temporary and should always save almost one year of his salary as backup and plan for early retirement, else this heart can fail any time with the pressure of job and life.

Agar companies property (apartments, towers, flats) own karke apne employees ko rent par de,to apne aap rent control ho jaayenge. Company ka bhi fayda hoga ki employees ki stability badhegi. Builders ka bhi koi nuksaan nahi hoga kyuki property ki demand tab bhi rahegi ,par is baar log luxury ke liye lenge,na ki majboori me.

Debt is basically slavery to bank. Dalits were downtrodden before independence because of debt. In exchange for debt, they had to leave their children in the money-lender's house to work as bonded labourers. This was called as jeeta system. Bonded labour and child labour, were eradicated after independence. After 75 years of independence, these social evils are coming back due to debt.

    Let's talk about solutions.
    To start from my side.
1.Try to stay in rental accommodation in initial stage.
    (a) Property rentals are always cheaper than EMI.
    (b) It will create more savings to invest meaningfully.
    2. Still one has to create assets for future.
    (a) Invest in income generating assets with smaller goals..like invest in good location small shops which can be low on EMI and income generating.
(b)Try to generate additional income from franchise by shops by involving family.
    (c) All can earn ..train your family and encourage..small entrepreneurship.

    • @dipak1968
      @dipak1968 Рік тому +1

Investing should be like planting fruits bearing trees which gives return after few years of care .
But when one initially go for big budget house or flat..he closes all opportunities of extra income rather paying EMI for life time.

Namaste. Lessons 1) Financial knowledge - on saving AND investment - a MUST - this no where taught in the present education.(2) Emotional stability - please do every day atleast for 5 minutes Puja / meditation - this practice has simply vanished in city life; result: depression, less confidence in oneself. This again no one does or talks about including the author!
