- Today we begin building the perfect daily driver Protege5. This video has been in the works for several months since I had to get two different engines. I've got some good things planned for this build!

Can’t wait to see more! I have a 2022 tesla model 3, BUT I drive my 02 protege5 almost just as much! I love it!! Only 55,000 miles on it and drives just like the day it was made. Fun car!
They sure are fun! Waiting on some parts from the machine shop and then I’ll have some more content about this car coming along!
55k on a protege?? Mines got 202k and still is my favorite car I've driven my dad bought it off the lot in 02
@@gian799yes! Now at 59,000. Love it!!

Wow that’s impressive!! Thank you for the support, best of luck with your build!
In the same boat my guy .

But I need parts
Where is part 2
Sorry about the delay! Working on escaping the death grip of a late-stage capitalism university right now. I’m almost done with my degree, hopefully can start uploading again soon!
Im in need of a head . My valve stems are shot. Smoking like a fright train
Turns out the head on my junkyard motor was from a different engine. I guess some dude did a Frankenstein rebuild on it. Gotta do some more digging /:
@@kaidanodom yoooo thats crazy . And from what other engine ?
@@juniordrift8686 I'm not exactly sure. the Protege came with the FS9 head but the one on my short block was an FS2 head which was from like a ford probe or 626 or something. It's very similar but the casting is a little bit different and the intake ports are smaller which was the biggest issue. That being said it uses hydraulic lifter buckets so I might dig around and see if you can run hydraulic lifter buckets on an FS9 head because that would save me a buch of time trying to source a bunch of buckets and shims, haha
Aren't you famous on social media or something?
Idk if famous is the word I would use. UA-cam is my biggest following as of right now 🤷♂️
where the fook are you
Oregon
@@kaidanodom post more please :(
Any plans on future videos for the stang? I loved following along with your build
Yes! Trying to get the engine stuff with the other two cars squared away right now so that I can do body work in the garage again. Trying to avoid getting fiberglass dust on everything
