This is the best review channel on UA-cam, its extremely hard to creators that are good at gaming and content creating let alone apex, I just pulled the trigger on some moondrop starfields they come in a few days id love to hear your opinion on them and how they compare to more expensive options.
The Blessing 2s are the best IEM i've listened to due to the level of detail and tuning. Worth the money, these will be my new competitive/enjoyment go-to set. I'm keeping my DT 177x GO headphones for music.
I love that video series :) And I really like that you included a budget friendly option! That'd be real nice if you could make a tier list of budget options, reviewing IEMs such as the BGVP DN3, TinHiFi T3 Plus, etc.
I feel like with Moondrop you will always get your moneys worth with clean packaging with the beautiful artwork on the box then your Iem's that look and sound great like my Starfields that I use for gaming they look amazing with its metallic blue paint on the shell but I will most def' be keeping an eye on those Blessing 2's a little pricey from the Starfields but definitely be an upgrade. I'm literally excited when you upload a new vid Fresh keep up the content my good lad =)
Just some ideas for some future products: 1. Sennheiser IE300 (I’m sure u get this a lot) 2. EPOS 270 (Wireless IEM from Sennheiser) 3. EPOS HS6Pro (Not an IEM, but an overlooked product that seems to be very promising, might be the first closed can to make your list) 4. Koss KSC75 (not an IEM, but pretty close. Only 15-20 USD, so very affordable for younger viewers looking for something decent). it’d be nice to see some more budget friendly options beyond Apple Earbuds for younger gamers.
Love your videos by the way! I’m not sure if you already said you were going to check out the Moondrop Variations, but that would be a great $500ish competitor to the SA6. Great work!
Great breakdown. Really appreciate the opinion coming from a pro who really knows how to use sound! Getting into IEM's as I really hate headset hair LOL and I need something that I could also use for listening to music while working and IEM's are SO good for music, I was amazed! I picked up the FiiO FH3's and I think they're pretty good and at a great price. Still working on using sound properly tho!
I can say that Monolith M350 are one of best IEMs i tested personally when was searching something for gaming becouse full headphones was giving me headache. They are planar magnetic and open back which is realy rare in IEM's world, but unlike their main competition iSine, M350 are relatively cheap and comfortable. They react well to EQ and i think its hard to find something better for gaming in this price range, i could say that they also deserve for wallhack category, only flaw is that you hear too much and you need to get used to it becouse on start you may miss prefire just becouse you hear first part on sound of footstep and you react to it instead of mid part of footstep, if you gona test it you will understand it. Still awesome rewiev, keep it going.
The Dunu SA6's DUW-03 is $200 retail btw. I love mine - I actually use it on my Blessing 2s. I found the stock DUW-03 heavier than the SA6 itself, I have a thinner 3 braid but it's still my favorite gaming & music iems, more so than the Blessing 2.
Awesome. I was about to pull the trigger on Monarch MIIs by Thieaudio since they are a bit new and at the price range they probably will work well enough. I use HD800 headphones right now and I light them a lot, I just get so tired of wearing them especially if it is hot. I need to keep the air conditioner on just to wear the damn things (Philippines), even for simple stuff like watching this video. I'll watch the rest of this series and just go with your final recommendation.
@@FreshReviewsYT was in bed checking youtube and I saw your setup overview video where you mentioned you liked the M2 a lot so I ordered it immediately. Will still watch your review when it is ready.
I’ve just ordered the Tanchjim Ola with their neutral bright sound signature and they’re also under 50 bucks too. I couldn’t get a good fit for my ears with the Aria and Starfields
Dang it Fresh, I’ve been really trying to not buy the Blessing 2s… In all seriousness, I’ve tried a lot of headphones over the ears and have been using 58XXs for the past ~4 years. Though I recently picked up some Moondrop Starfields and they’re pretty nice for when I have spare time between classes but don’t want headphone hair. Curious how far behind the B2s they are, though I’d assume it’d be roughly the same as Arias vs B2s.
Oh yeah baby, lezgo Fresh! Moar quality content. I just got a lcd-x 2021/topping dx 7 pro combo. this is by far the best i have tried for gaming. The zeus is on fb-market.
If you ever get around to the senn ie300, it's been bugging me that I didn't say... they are very dependent on seal. They are best with the final audio silicone tips. All IEMs really need to have a good seal to have their full potential.
@@FreshReviewsYT This is basically unrelated but I saw that Sennheiser was teasing a new product on twitter and then a leaker posted an actual picture of the box for the Sennheiser ie 600. It'll be interesting to see the price and how it slots in between the ie 300 and 900.
@@FreshReviewsYT I don't know what kid of budget that you have for this whole iem thing, but there's a lot of good iem's out there, for example I've heard good things about the Kinera Nanna 2.0, which sells for $950, I saw someone else recommend the Monarch MK II, which is also in that price range.
So happy you checked out my request for the Moondrop Blessing 2! Noticed it wasn't the Crinacle Dusk version, do you think there's any competitive or graphical advantages to one or the other?
I have the KZ SZ10 Pro but if i connect it without anything to the pc the mic and button at the cable doesnt work. Do i need anything else that it works? I now have a 3.5 to usb cable but does this reduce the quality?
Do you see these becoming your main over your dt900 pro x or your 560s? Do you also think that the B2 dusk may give you that little kick of bass that you may miss from the OG B2? I have also seen in a few forums that people like the fiio FD5 for gaming and has one of the biggest soundstage for an IEM and has a semi open back design. I personally prefer a little bass over just neutral, as long as it doesn't leak into the clarity and separation of the sounds. This series has intrigued me a lot and I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses. Keep up the amazing work Fresh!
I’m going to have to try the dusk for sure! I wanted to try the blessing 2 first, as I thought the reduction in bass would be a bit better. After listening to the elevated bass in the Dunu though, and how good it remained, I’ll have to try the dusk for sure
With any of your headphones/IEM's have you ever used EQ more specially tuning them to the Harman Curve using oratory1990 EQ's it can improve soundstage and imaging sometimes. Your first fav headphone was the 560S which is tuned damn near that curve.
Hey Fresh, nice review! I have the Blessing 2 and tried it for Valorant but I felt that it misled me in terms of direction when trying to locate enemies. It's an exceptional IEM for music especially for the price, but I'm surprised how you were able to use it competitively. Makes me wonder if my setup had something to do with it. I actually got the HD560S as per your recommendation in your reviews, and I found it far superior for gaming compared to the Blessing 2.
Hey, Brandon! Do you have the Blessing 2 or Blessing 2 Dusk? Also, did you have HRTF enabled or disabled? Are you using any "spatial" audio settings in windows? I run my IEMs through my Topping Ensemble, which is a pretty damn good quality stack. I do not use any spatial audio settings and I leave HRTF disabled. Also, I have noticed with IEMs you need to make sure you use the correct size tips for your ear so you are not leaking too much sound
@@FreshReviewsYT So I have the standard B2, although I'd honestly prefer the Dusk for music. I tried both HRTF on/off, however I'm unsure if I had spatial audio on/off in windows, so that could be the culprit. Size tips were correct, I actually use a smaller size for my left ear. And unfortunately I'm not using external amp/dac, just plugged in straight into the headphone jack of my gaming laptop, that may or may not help as well. Thank you fresh, those were helpful points to look at!

What cable do u recommend to use with blessing 2? Also wanted to mention my previous request again - tanchjim darling, cuz i heard they've wide soundstage for iem.
I personally think it’s worth the upgrade. The kato can be a bit harsh on the upper mids and highs. Too harsh for some people. The blessing is an insanely nice balance with a nice layer of sub bass and bass to not be overwhelming to hear audio queues but remain fun
I'm absolutely loving this series and it's starting to make me want to waste money more and more. @@FreshReviewsYT I saw you recommend that to someone on your new mousepad video after posting this 😂 I’ll have to give it a look. Will a review be coming soon? 🤔
@@FreshReviewsYT wow, thanks for the fast response. I am currently using dts-x on a xbox series x and I am in search of an iem that I would be very happy at locating everything around me when playing on line COD. By zero you are referring to the salnotes? I have them. I also have an Aria and an S12 pro( for music i guess). The Arias is the one I am more happy at the moment.
Are you know using the Duno SA6 over your DT PRO 900 X? Have you used any of these in Hunt: Showdown? if so how are they? I currently use 560S and DT 177X Go and interesting in maybe moving to IEM but have never used them.
I had a feeling the B2 would rank well here -- I really loved playing with them when I had them. They're fantastic IEMs, and they sound very natural -- not just for gaming. Glad you liked them as well! I've been in the IEM/audio hobby since ~2014 and what you get for your money has seriously improved in the last few years.
@@jootai I do have the 7Hz! Really good tuning, mediocre/below-average imaging and soundstage for the money. Their fit is potentially problematic as well, it took me a while before I found a way to put them in/tips that did not result in hotspots. If your ear’s tragus is long the disc can also cause fit issues. They’re good for music but due to the issues mentioned above I would not recommend them for gaming.
Hey would u say the blessing 2 is much worse compared to the dt 900 and hd560s? in terms of positional audio and is the soundstage differences game changing?
Surprisingly the differences were not as grand as I expected. The blessing can definitely get the job done for gaming performance. The smaller sound stage didn’t quite impact as heavily as I thought. There is an impact, just not massive

Picked up the Dt900 Pro X and they sound pretty good stock. Do you reckon there is any value in buying the ifi zen dac v2 for a performance boost in soundstage and imaging or do they need an EQ?

@@FreshReviewsYT ok I will let you know. But it’ll be awhile Amazon says delivery will be march 22.

I’m pretty open about it. But I use the topping ensemble E50/L50
Blessing 2 vs Blessing 2 Dusk?
Have not tried the dusk
I'm absolutely loving this series and it's starting to make me want to waste money more and more. I've been using IEMs for a few years now and although I'm not looking to upgrade right now, I love watching these videos just for fun and for comparisons. Maybe you could try BGVP and TFZ if they have it over there in America because I would love to see your reaction and what you think of them. Keep up the amazing work and hope you have a good day!
Tysm!
Is there mic cable you can order separate to use with the moondrops maybe in the aftermarket?
I have the Moondrop Aria, do you know if Tanchjim OLA will be an upgrade? Man these IEMs and mice are addicting, I keep buying them to find my never ending endgame
Hey Fresh! Would you say that the Ola outperforms the Aria in regards to competitive gaming? Thank you in advance and as always, I’m loving your channel!
If you’re looking for something very good check out the truthear zero
@@FreshReviewsYT I saw you recommend that to someone on your new mousepad video after posting this 😂 I’ll have to give it a look. Will a review be coming soon? 🤔
what do you think right now bro what do you think of the talos ?
I have a video about the talos
So, after watching part 1, you would suggest the OLA over the Aria and Kato?
Right now the budget go tos are the zero hexa kima all of which I recommend over the aria and kato
Is the para speed still your go to pad for glass skates? Or do you prefer something else now a days?
Are you know using the Duno SA6 over your DT PRO 900 X? Have you used any of these in Hunt: Showdown? if so how are they? I currently use 560S and DT 177X Go and interesting in maybe moving to IEM but have never used them.
I’ll test the hunt when I get home this weekend from vacation 😉
@@FreshReviewsYT Awesome. Thank you. Hope you have a great vacation!
@@FreshReviewsYT any luck on Testing the Moondrop Blessing 2 and Dunu SA6 in Hunt Showdown?
Maybe try some budget IEMs next time if possible? xD
Will incorporate more budget friendly IEMs under < $100
I had a feeling the B2 would rank well here -- I really loved playing with them when I had them. They're fantastic IEMs, and they sound very natural -- not just for gaming. Glad you liked them as well!
I've been in the IEM/audio hobby since ~2014 and what you get for your money has seriously improved in the last few years.
Awesome offerings now that’s for sure!
Do you have the 7hz in your collection and what do you think of them?
@@jootai I do have the 7Hz! Really good tuning, mediocre/below-average imaging and soundstage for the money.
Their fit is potentially problematic as well, it took me a while before I found a way to put them in/tips that did not result in hotspots. If your ear’s tragus is long the disc can also cause fit issues.
They’re good for music but due to the issues mentioned above I would not recommend them for gaming.
@@Xerpocalypse_ so you would rank the blessings a lot higher then the timeless then?
@@jootai do you use a dac with the b2? If so, should you use a dac to utilize it’s maximum potential?
You should try final audio vr3000 i heard it has great imaging. Specifically designed for gaming
ie300 iem is also one of the best
Next video will include them!
how about PUBG (Tanchjim OLA )?
Haven’t tried
@@FreshReviewsYT is it good dicision to take OLA for 42 $ ? for APEX, can u try PUBG with OLA?
Is it possible to use 900 pro x and Xbox with game chat
I believe so! You just need to have a separate microphone to use as the 900 pro x does not have a built in mic
Would you say the Tanchjim’s are better that the moondrop Ariana or kato? Don’t wanna spend the extra money if I don’t have to.
For gaming and directional audio yea
hello fresh! could you give me some advice. I'm looking for a 165 / 180hz 1440p monitor, which one would you recommend? xg27aqm in Italy costs very much
what do you think of the dunu talos
I have a video including them
i use bose qc20i for competitive gaming in pubg, can u tell me if this blessing 2 are better then bose ? cuz im thinking about getting these blessing2 or dunu vulkan..can u give me a hint? Ty and congratz for ur top tier reviews and opinion at gaming use ❤
Thanks, brother. I have never used the Bose so I can’t be sure. My gut says the vulkan would be great 👍🏽
What clan were you in back in caleague? I also played from 1.3-1.6 and ended at cal-p after wow came out.
Several. TEC, United5, ascension, catch22, power, forsaken, echo7, iwa
@@FreshReviewsYT Awesome! I remember all of them. Thanks for your reviews!
Thanx, love the series. can you do some cheaper iems like the kz zs10 pro?
Going to take a look
A question please, i don't know if you answered it already, kato vs blessing 2? i mainly play valorant and listen to music
It’s been a little too long since I used the kato. But from what I recall probably the b2
Hey!! Do you ever try "QDC anole VX" ?
Not yet
What are the wires you’re using for the B2 you were holding
The altea cable by linsoul from amazon
Picked up the Dt900 Pro X and they sound pretty good stock. Do you reckon there is any value in buying the ifi zen dac v2 for a performance boost in soundstage and imaging or do they need an EQ?
I know this video is about IEM’s but do still think the DT 900 Pro X are the best for competitive gaming ? What are your top 3 ? Thanks in advance
The 900 pro x is still in my top 3. Right now, my primary daily drivers are the 900 pro x and Dunu sa6
Try the Final E500 and the Earstudio HE100 $20 and $50 respectively.
I have the HD560S for playing Apex. I want a pair of IEM's to try and I'm thinking of getting the Tanchjim OLA. Do you like the OLA for apex?
Yea they were quite good for the price
@@FreshReviewsYT thanks! Is there anything you would recommend in the 40-80 price range over that?
So should I get blessing 2 instead of variations?
For gaming yea
Do you prefer the Tanchjim OLA over the Aria's for FPS gaming?
I do
Best in budget (11.20)
SA6 🔥
So fire haha
Can check out the fiio fd5
i comprare fd5 and blessing 2. fd5 are more fun, more spatial....blessing 2 are more clean flat but a little more precise.
