그 중에서도 가장 빛나던 별이 있었는데
그가 바로 컴퓨터의 아버지 폰 노이만 이었습니다.
그는 핵무기 광적으로 집착했던 사람이었습니다.
1955년 언론인 Walter Sullivan과의 인터뷰에서 von Neumann은 다음과 같이 말했습니다.

"I think it's very important that we continue testing nuclear weapons. There's always more to learn about these devices, and there's always the possibility that new designs or modifications to existing designs could make them more effective or more reliable. Additionally, as long as other countries have nuclear weapons, we need to maintain a credible deterrent. And finally, I think there's a strong case to be made for basic scientific research. Nuclear weapons are incredibly complex and interesting devices, and the more we can learn about them, the better we'll understand the underlying physics and the more we'll be able to apply that knowledge to other fields."
