Not sure of his tittle, and the girl who actually works there, told me that the Government gives you an additional 6 months? So for example, my Lexus, 2019, IS AWD five year really ends approximately at the end of 2024, but they told me straight up that I would have until 2025, June, 30th to have this vehicle shipped. I still have the man’s number, he called me yesterday, but I was unable to answer him. So that’s what they said to me. Do the shipping companies knows that? Thank you.

hello couple of questions i have imported a car to the Dominican Republic 2 years ago I have received the car passed it through customs and all but the problem is with license plate I haven't received it every time I try contacting the shipper he keeps giving bs responses do u think he didn't pay a certain fee? is there a way to check how much the vehicle owes in customs like online or something, and is there a way to check the status of the plate because it's been 2 years since arrival and still no plate to be found so what can I possible do to get the plate

Sadly I did live in DR for 8 yrs during my 20s but never bothered to do it but now that my husband is retiring we plan to move there as soon as Aug. and would like to take at least 1 vehicle with us. Id also like to know if it’s true the vehicle must be in my procession for minimum of 1 full year to ship it there? I ask that because both our vehicles are now passed the 5 yr limit so my husband was thinking of buying something newer cash to take. My last question is it true you forfeit the warranty once you take the vehicle out of the US? 🤔 I appreciate your info in advance 🙏🏼

You have til march 2026 the fiscal year will end to complete the 5 years.
