Really good episode I like that they prevented Candy's death from happening and she becomes an assistant principal in the present day timeline. Such a heartwarming moment. Glad they saved her life in the past now she gets to be part of the school staff.
great episode they refenced the beatles white album my mom told me about the beatles and the white album she told me the white album came out in 1968 the same year this episode takes place
A common theme in fiction is the butterfly effect, which is basically how changing even the smallest detail can result in the biggest consequences, even if it was with good intentions. Candy's death was prevented by Julie and Chris going back in time, but wouldn't the prevention of her death somehow lead to other unforeseen (and negative) results as well? Reminds me of the common saying/belief that "everything happens for a reason." See where I'm coming from? LOL PS - I wrote a gender-flipped fanfiction of this episode. If anyone would like to read it, let me know!
Just wanted to say thank you so much for recommending the Are You Afraid of the Dark podcasts! I've been binging the Up All Night episodes and I still got two other podcast to check out! We have a lot of the same taste so as always I enjoyed this video! Hope everything is good across the pond! Finally getting consistent summer weather over this way! Lots of love from North Carolina!
How did they get the 90s down so well? The 1968 school was a lot like my 1998 high school. "Kandi" beads, the kids in the hall, rude teachers everything
"You don't learn from the past, you'll be doomed to repeat it. My story's a little different. If you don't learn from the present, you'll repeat the past, and meet... your DOOM." - Kristen of The Midnight Society
4:06- "You scared me. I thought everybody left." - Julie Well Julie, as it turns out, this teenage girl you've just stared at, who is standing at the far end of the classroom, crying, NEVER DID.
Enjoyed this episode as a kid i loved the prom queen and locker 22 by Kristen along with the final wish they were good stories i thought i thought Kristen's stories dealt with sadness of the past which can be scary to the people of the present without knowing the true n full details
I do not have have a Ryuk/Death note figure, Ive said this before lol. I think you're mistaking one of them for Ryuk. Which one on the shelves do you mean?
Sunnydale Survivor it's that one Shinigami looking character. I recognized him. He's clearly the one with that crazy blue hair and those big yellow eyes. He's right in the middle on the shelf right next to another figure. If you look closely where what seems to be a book there, then on the shelf on the middle of it is where Ryuk is.
@@commandixnostalgia2321 is it on the shelf with the dragon? The only one I have with big blue hair and yellow eyes is Hades from Hercules - that's my Disney villains shelf :)
