The music of the Barrons made this movie. Early electronic music tended to be either just noise or goofy but the sophistication of this soundtrack created the perfect mood for this great story. It is iconic and was revolutionary at the time for a movie soundtrack. Unfortunately due to constraints by the musicians union the Barrons were denied music credits, had to call the music "tonalities" and therefore were denied an Oscar for the soundtrack which they clearly deserved. Such is politics.
