- It's important to set the correct Chapter headings, and multilevel headings in your thesis or dissertation correctly before you start your work. This is going to save you so much time as Word will compile all of this into a correct contents page. It's also useful to ensure your figures and tables are correctly labelled. Watching this video will make sure you do this right and save hours in editing later.
Thanks a lot for your informative video!
Why show a smaple dissertation that uses Roman numerals for chapter numbers then proceed to use Arabic numerals for your example...
hey man, any way of getting the appendix list to do the same? I've defined a new list: Appendix A, but can't get level 2 to read: A.1 - it keeps putting it as 1.A.
For appendix you're best making this in a new document and importing that across after a page break
❤❤❤
thank you so much very grateful
What am I doing wrong. I followed the instructions to the letter but my headings are all chapter 1 and the numbering starts again at 1.1
@@makoboyolandamakhura1974 do you have any page breaks in your document? Try right clicking on the number and format number to start at a different one
Thank you. How did you go about setting roman numerals in the first few pages?
I tried it but for some reasons I don't know, when click on the chapter style panel it doesn't change to chapter 2, chapter 3 etc do you know what could be the problem?
Hmmm I'm not sure! I'm so sorry I can't help 😔
Thanks for the video. It resolved my Microsoft word issue
Much appreciated, straight forward.
Subtitles in English or Hindi
Super useful. Thanks a lot!
helpful 👍
Thanks man ❤❤❤❤❤
You're welcome!
Thank you so much 😊
You're welcome 😊
This is a valiant effort, however, it's clunky, longer and more complicated than necessary and is fresh out of the 1950's. Suggest you have a look at ua-cam.com/video/GevZOS-nCuw/v-deo.html, which only goes for 12 ish minutes and includes basic coverage of the Contents page, too.
Note also that when needing to modify a style, just right click on the style and select modify. You don't need to click 4 times through Style Manager and subsequent options to get it done.
Thanks for your excellent feedback, I look forward to your very detailed video creations on this subject.
