Here's a short peek and the upcoming Mac version of Patch Base. All the editors from the iPad version are here, and enhanced for desktop. Coming soon. coffeeshopped....
look at that slick UI! Will it possible to assign midi CC to parameters for external control? I could see myself setting up custom hardware controls for some of my rack mount synths that have no real knobs....
"J. Walter Hawkes said: Will it possible to assign midi CC to parameters for external control? I could see myself setting up custom hardware controls for some of my rack mount synths that have no real knobs...." Yes please !!!
Super excited... will I be able to run it within or along side Ableton LIVE or other DAW's? That would be superb! Being able to midi map the controls would be brilliant ~ control from the PUSH 2!
Coffeeshopped : you definitely should write some plugins for Daws not to make parameter recording a hassle. « As I tweak one button on the editor during my Daw recording, my movements are stored in my DAW. »
@@DogEatDog189 This might happen down the road. A lot of the synths that Patch Base supports don't handle real-time automation very well (depending on the parameter), so that's something I have to think on. It's on my radar though.
Coffeeshopped word bro, that’s what I’m waiting for! As a producer, being able to save the unique patches to the session is a dream (for recall and tweaks)! That’s what I appreciate of the Moog and Sequential plug-ins, so this would be amazing!
Is it working with any Midi Interface? I still own the Emagic AMT8 interfaces and they are working very well without any problem, is it possible to use the editor AND the DAW at the same time using Logic through the Emagic midi interface??? That would be awesome, making sounds while playing...!
It should work with any CoreMIDI compatible interface. If your interface shows up in Audio/MIDI Setup on the Mac, it should be good. And yes, you can use the same MIDI Interface across multiple apps at once (e.g. Logic and Patch Base at the same time).
This is exciting! Have you given any thought to the price/license model? (I’m not generally a fan of software you can’t buy outright, which is why I haven’t unlocked the iPad version)
The current plan is the same model as the iPad version: you can(!) buy individual editors outright. Or you can get access to everything for a single subscription price.
@@Coffeeshopped I kind of agree. I have 9 of the listed synths and 17 of the 'considered' ones (collected over 45 years, Im not rich!). Thats a LOT of individual unlocks There is NO way in hell I'd consider ever subscribing to software (N.I. cured me of that). Its a shame as this looks PERFECT and would end having a crap-load of individual editors.
@@Coffeeshopped Edit - I just looked at the IAP unlocks on the app store and the 'All Access' looks amazing and GREAT value. Will it be the same for the Mac version? Thanks!
How would you like to see it priced? (The one-time IAP for All Access you're seeing is something I stopped selling over a year ago, but is still honored for the people who bought it).
with soundforge FB01 editor for windows it is able to take a control change on the input and map it to a parameter in the FB01. Is it possible to implement that in Patchbase? sourceforge.net/projects/fb01editor/
Looks great. +1 for the scalable windows too.
Looking forward to this. Hopefully there will be an "All Synths" price option as opposed to only buying one synth librarian at a time
Very nice. Using it on iPad since day one. Very good implemented software. Looking good on Mac too!
Nice work!
I’m hoping for a Morpheus editor and maybe a Casio VZ10M.

fantastic. can't wait.
+1,000 for the scalable windows
Very cool!
Powerful!

Great. Can't wait. Is there a beta-version available already ? How does MIDI-mapping of controls to a DAW work ?
Can’t wait!
Great Job! Hope for a Roland D-70 editor asap.
D70 would be fantastic. That would be the deal maker!

It's a standalone app, but it can run alongside Ableton or any other DAW, no problem.

I'd say: release it asap and collect/incorporate feedback later. To my eyes it looks cool. Eager to get it for my TG77 :)
Wow very very cool...
Any Kurzweil?
RefaceDX?
I'd love if I could have an editor for my Kurzweil K2600S.
Looks pretty good so far. Will there finally be an Evolution Synthesis EVS-1 editor? I'm eagerly awaiting it.
Windisch Media Hopefully at some point. Make sure to vote for it if you haven’t already.
I've voted for it more than two years ago. The EVS-1 editor was the original reason to buy Patch Base for iPad.
Nice! Got plans for a plugin version?
Yeah I would purchase a plugin ASAP!
A plugin version might happen at some point. I can say that the initial release of Patch Base for Mac will only run as standalone.

Um. Yes, please.
Question : does the purchased ipad editors transfer to the windows/Mac patch base ? or do I have to buy them again ?
jean luc Dubinator They are separate.

mCKENIC I’d love it “all access” is not a purchase option within the app.

Looks great! Please add Yamaha V-50 synth to the app and ability to convert to soft-synth versions of compatible hardware. i.e. DX7 to Arturia DX7 V.
Philip Meadows lol wow you aint asking for much

lmao i just bought an Ipad so I could program my tx802. Any idea on when it might be ready for release?
Some time this year. Working on it!
Anything for the Roland d20?
Yes, Patch Base for Mac support the D-20. Patch Base for iPad already does, as well.
@@Coffeeshopped Big thanks you for you job
Windows version coming too?
No plans for that yet.
@@Coffeeshopped oh well. That's me out then. Shame. It looks SO promising.
