Awesome review! I’ve been eyeing these for awhile and you may have just sold me on the 4cylinder turbo CT5 Sport.

Review AFTER 2 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP!
I purchased my 2022 CT5 in August 2022. Saying that my experience owning this vehicle has been a nightmare is an understatement. Here are the list of major repairs/replacements I’ve had within 2 years of owning; Engine Head Gasket, Transmission Transfer Case, entire Transmission assembly, front Seat lumbar units, steering wheel boot, interior door trim panels, O2 Sensors, and so on. All of this has been replaced within less than 2 years of owning this vehicle. I had decided to purchase my first ever car from Cadillac as the brand stood for luxury and reliability. I put my hard earned money, and that too quiet a lot of it, towards this car. If I had known what I was in for, I would’ve went for Cadillac’s competition. It’s a shame because the CT5 is a very good looking vehicle and it drives nice. However the amount of Repairs and unreliability overshadows the whole experience. Looks can be deceiving! If you’re in the market for a new luxury vehicle, I’d take a one good look at this vehicle, admire its good looks, maybe even sit in it or take some photos and then proceed to purchase a German or a Japanese competitor brand!

I have a 2015 Cadillac ATS with 95k miles and have had minimal problems, and would replace it with the same if it hadn't been discontinued. My biggest complaint is that I'm having to replace expensive run-flat tires about every 14 months and I've only used the two brands (Michelin & Continental) that Cadillac recommends. That's why I'm looking at the CT5.
Your insights are well documented and thought provoking. In our case, my wife's Mercedes; a 2019 GLC 300 has been our problem vehicle. Nothing as significant as a transmission, but this week we just had the a/c serviced for the third time and they had to keep it for two full days. The sunroof is intermittently not working, problems with the radio from day one, and also with the brakes. With that said, our bigger issue has been that the quality of dealer service is horrible and from what I've read, Mercedes is doing it's best to make it harder to get serviced by an independent. I have a cousin with a 2022 BMW who has his stories as well. My takeaway is that the quality of "luxury cars," has declined, and service is worse. I believe every word you wrote about your CT5 but warn you that someone else is probably writing something similar about their German or Japanese "luxury car."

Either cadillac is utter garbage or they straight up lied to you because theres no way that car should need any of those things in such a short time

The bad thing about turbos on small engines really shortens the engine life quite a bit that’s why I don’t run a turbo it’s a big waste of money if you ask me

Does this engine require 93 octane fuel?
