im having issue setting this phone up , i have it on green but on the top right hand side i have a lil phone with an x on it and when i make a call i get no dial tone
I have UCM6204 with inbound and outbound configured but I am facing few challenges and I need urgent assistance please. 1) When there's an incoming call, the caller number is not displayed instead I see "unavailable" so its difficult to return calls when i miss them. 2) I can't transfer an ext call to an external number but I can transfer an external call to an extension. Please someone should help me out, THANK YOU
Good Question. You would need to press the BLF key for the person you sent it to and that should grab it, or type in the programmed feature code that is set up on the PBX.
If it was that easy...The GSwave can be connected internally as well as externally and there is no easy answer for troubleshooting connection issues. Though the technology is always improving, what you are asking is very vague and cannot be answered simply. Feel free to contact us for troubleshooting and assistance.
Depends on how the system was set up. Multiple UCMs using LDAP or one UCM with remote extensions. If everything is local, then the contact list should have them. LDAP can be a little more complicated.
Is it possible to add a programmable line key or multi-purpose key to connect the phone to an analog trunk on an FXO port? And I don’t mean using a dial pattern.
There are multiple ways to handle fax. The simple answer is you create a fax extension and then point your inbound route to it. I don't know that I've done a video on that yet.

How do you look up extensions for colleagues at another branch? Used to have a internal directory. Using the gxp2135.

The J129 is an avaya phone. This is a video on Grandstream use. The Grandstream system uses star codes to do a page. I believe the default is *8
