Hello Mike, enjoying this interview. I had the pleasure of interviewing and chatting with Bobby just about a month ago.
And, soon after that, you and I recorded our interview about your book, which released about an hour ago (the video, not the book, that comes out soon and I look forward to reading it).
10:20 This idea that we that left Christianity are "apostates" is presupposing the conclusion that Christianity is true. An illogical fallacy. If Christianity isn't true, then I'm not an apostate, I'm just a guy who looked at the data and made a different conclusion.
That said, I appreciate that you and Bobby are honest about doubts -- I appreciate that. I suspect you'll both be considered "apostates" by many Christians in the next few years as you deconstruct from fundamentalism.
14:51 Bobby forgets that not so long ago, you could switch "black" for "homosexual" and all the arguements for "traditionalism" would be similar. I think the older generation today is losing this fight, just like our grandparents lost the fight against mixing the races.
I think as Christians fight the evolution of society, they forget that they accept many things that their grandparents were fighting against years ago, as "good" and "faithful" Christians.

I agree with you, Michael, that from your vantage point it is not "apostasy." Yet, from the vantage point Bobby and I share, it is apostasy. Of course, only one of our views are correct.

christianity never makes sense to me form childhood so i research and now i am muslim

  • @afnanhype624

Yes, Jesus is a muslim, muslim means submit your will to God.
In John 17:3 Jesus said " Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."
See Jesus said according to John, reference the Father as the only True God.and Jesus was sent by the only true God.
I see christian trying to justify that Jesus is God by quoting John 17:5 that said " 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began."
But this verse contradicted the verse in Isaiah 42 8 “I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols."
See God in Isaiah said he didn't share Glory with anyone but Jesus according to John said he did. I see christian trying to justify saying God talking about idolatry. But if you read carefully God in Isaiah said reference "another" Before idol. "Another" can be included everything.
See with this so much contradiction show Bible and Gospel today was not from God but written by individual and then claimed as the words of God.
