You're just not using the right Pokemon. Also remember to have the ones you use a few levels higher than hers, which is why Bulbapedia comes in handy.

Basically she acts lazy when it comes to Pokémon battling, instead claiming a trainer to be a winner if they have two to three type advantages against her and not even battling them. Cilan challenges her to a battle and loses, which she claims is because of her predictions, not because Cilan underestimated her or that she was stronger than him. Ash then challenges her and wins. She then out of nowhere changes her mind and decides to battle people again.
@@stevenmattrell3448 she mightve just been bored. Similar to Piers later on in the series where he feels down and that it was his fault for not being a good trainer. My guess just by reading is that Ash sparked her to battle again similar to how you in Sw/Sh would spark Piers to battle again

Fair point. Except Skyla is not like this in the games. They completely rewrote her character for seemingly no reason, basically making her the opposite of her game counterpart.
