I think I mentioned on the previous playthrough, but I love how the different motivations really do play differently. This one was much more about movement and chasing down those adventures, with the hostile ships largely just getting in the way.
Quick question, does the Adventurer League provide a bonus to all the tests? I thought it only applied the bonus when you took the ADVENTURE action, and not applied to the draw pile “adventure” cards. I could be mistaken.
What a great video. This video helped me understand the adventure motive and how the adventure tokens work. Thank you! I also want to mention how good of a game Nemo's War is to watch, I hope to see it on the channel again some day.
What a great playthrough! So great in fact, that it just cost me a solid chunk of change so I could get in on a late pledge for the ultimate edition from the latest kickstarter reprinting :-) Thanks for doing these videos!
Thank you Colin, I have just ordered this game, and cannot wait. By the way I hope you don't tell your kids off for failing maths tests as the amount of times you rolled 5 and 4 and said 10 is incredible lol
SO GLAD you ordered the game!! And you didn't know? 5 +4 = 10 of course! :) HAHAHAHA I know it is terrible, not sure how I could do that. . . Oh well! I will make sure my kids know the correct answer!
When purchasing the starting equipment the equipment for your specific motive is purchased normally, the cost is not doubled. This can be purchased in addition to the upgrade you spent 6 on.
@@OneStopCoopShop that is what I am talking about. The upgrade expansion doesn’t change the rule that you can buy your specific upgrade for the normal cost. It’s just that in addition to that you may buy a second for double the cost (this is to offset the uncertainty of having more upgrade cards)
@ 1:03:58 I think you could use just 1 of the treasures ... they give you 1 free MOVE "action" and you have an upgrade that allows you to move 2 with 1 action, right?
I think I'm gonna order the new motives expansion. That is definetely the best thing to increase variety. I have played Nemo's War 4 times so far...each motive once one easy mode. Loss, win, loss, win. Quite unfortunate, that you messed up with the existing ocean conncections too often....making your life much harder. ;-)
@@OneStopCoopShop Wow, wouldn't have guessed that after watching your videos! Haha But yeah, I'll keep that in mind when I player later next week. Can't wait! :)

A few times during the playthrough you seem to forget the +1 DRM for the Stalk Attack. So you took damage at 1:20 when you wouldn't (unless I missed something. Rolled 7 +1 from stalk attack -1 from another ship would be 7)
@@OneStopCoopShop I believe you can also sacrifice or discard emergency help resources to increase the DRM of warship attacks as well. I confirmed that on BBG.
...Then why not have the entire game as an app and get rid of any and all setup and clean up times. It would also be cheaper, wouldn't require as big of a table and would be easier to transport.
Correct me if I'm wrong but, doesn't the expansion rules (choose 5, then add 5 more random cards and then pick one if you like, pay double the cost) apply AFTER you pick (or not) your initial motive upgrade for its normal cost? What I mean is, you can start the game with 2 upgrades (one is your motive upgrade with a normal cost and the other one paid double). I think you misunderstood the rules and hurt yourself too much at the start. Thanks for the vid, though.
Thanks Colin! Yeah, all the motives play differently. 4 in the Box and another two with the Bold and Caring expansion. Plus, there’s a new expansion on the way. Going to have a lot of stuff in it.

You've got it, best part of the game! I want more motives!! Thanks for watching David
Hi. What am amazing playthrough. When I can, I'll take my copy from the shelf and play it. Thank you for your time and dedication!
Thanks so much for the kind words and for watching!! Was a blast to play! Hope you get yours out soon!

I think you are actually correct, but Colin isn't with the channel anymore so I can't ask him.
Can't wait for the Ultimate Edition to release. This is destined to become one of my favorites.
Yesss! I can't wait either!
Thank you Colin for you playthrough!! 👍👍

In both of your playthroughs, "Aronnax's Determination" came annoyingly early. Thank you for the great videos!!
Haha! Thanks so much for watching!!
You mention you would like to see the cost of actions in AP ... you can see that just below the AP track (;
Oh man nice!! Doi!
On turn 6 when you rolled the double ones, were you not suppose to place hidden ships? Or did I miss something?
You always place ships even in lull turns so if I missed that sorry!!
That's what I thought. Great playthroughs on your channel.

It is with the revised rules if you get to choose your starting cards!

You actually start a, game with 1 action point. So on first turn your roll is 6 and 3 do 4 action points +1 is 4.
