- During Winter 2015-16 Russell Forestry Services contracted with Stitchdown Farm and the Plotsky family to harvest 25Mbf of white pine, hemlock, and red spruce logs from their land in Bethel, VT, for a custom-built timber-frame home being built on-site. This project was a combination of restorative silviculture, custom harvest of specified products, forestry and teamster education, and hardworking horses.

You logged 25 MBF of timber in 2 winters with only horses?
A part from the visual damage you are fine?!? Great job. Greatings, Jeroen
Just a solid whack across the shoulders, but no broken bones. I was sore, but went back to work in a few days. I was a bit shaken by the surprise..... 35+ years working in the woods and never been hit like that before. hope you are well....
