As an Afro American I totally agree with you. I started watching Nigerian movies just before Covid-19 and has been watching ever since. I love them so much that I don't even go to the movies and have turned my cable off. The only thing I watch now s you tube. My friends will call me and ask "what you doing, watching your African movies?" My co-workers also know that is all that I watch. Minor statement that I won't deny, they do have violence in them, not as much as ours. Africa brought two movies to the big screen in America, Battle on Buka Street by Uchenna Mabunado and Born Again Stripper. I enjoyed both movies but they had sex and violence in them. The Nigerian movies have violence, sex and drugs. and homo-sexual themes in them. So don't say none of that in their movies, say not as much. I also love them because a lot of them acknowledge God in them. So let's all agree to disagree. I pick them over our movies any day.
