Excellent! yes, the Chinese rubber is PHEW!!! If you can find valve stem extenders for a dually or a motor home, use them!

Awesome video, Joey. I like the idea of a beveled edge! Be sure to post a video of the finished build. I made some changes to my originals per what I had mentioned in my part 2 video and it made a huge difference, but I'm really liking the spray coating idea so I may have to add that also. Good luck, and keep us posted!

Question for ya... Does your inner tube give off a very strong chemical odor? Mine is stinking up my house and I've got it wrapped up in two bags. Do you have this issue?

Joey, I found that if you add about a half cup of white vinegar to a pail of water and then soak the tube for about an hour it seems to neutralize the odor.

Thank you for the info Bill! The chemical smell it was giving off was giving my wife a headache!

Joey, I like the idea of using the bigger PVC in the center for the tube to sit on but if that's an 18" tube with an 8" hub , using 6" PVC doesn't seem big enough. Perhaps a 8" cement form tube from Home Depot might work better and lighter.

Also, don't forget to post a video of the finished product!

That's a good point... I may have to get a bigger piece before its all said and done. I'll put it together and see how it does. I should be posting part 2 tomorrow evening, so stay tuned!

I got an 8" concrete form tube today. Do you think it'll be strong enough? It seems kinda flimsy...

Joey, rather than trying to dremel a 8 inch circle on the hub for the form tube, I used buck91hunter's method of using 1/2" conduit cut to 4-1/2" with carriage bolts inside but first I moved them out further to give support to the inside of the form tube. I used the form tube to mark a circle on the hub and then I used a 7/8" spade drill bit on the inside of that circle to drill about 1/8" into the hubs to hold the conduit in place. I then slipped the form tube over the 4 conduit posts. Once everything is bolted together, the conduit now provides support to the cement form tube and the form tube supports the inner tube very nicely all the way around.

@@billtanzabel428 Using the Cement form tube instead of 6 inch PVC (which is expensive) is a great ideal
