i played 9th grade competition when i was in 6th grade so watching these makes me want to get on the court and smack the ball

I think these girls were good for sixth grade! When I first started volleyball I absolutely sucked but as time progresses you get a lot better. A little more practice for them and they will be stars
fr, the people commenting like “they need to call the ball” and “they need to have a better form” don’t rlly understand.. it’s 6th grade volleyball, and i bet 2/3 of that team has never played volleyball. they did great for their age

I'm in 6th grade and I just started playing volleyball. I feel like it's hard at first but I think I've progressed a lot and now I can actually do a decent spike! (my spikes used to be trash) :D I will continue playing and enjoying volleyball!!!
@@ameslame i do 4th grade volleyball in singapore and i take part in tournaments and they compared to us is not very good. They need ot move around more and FOCUS on the ball.
Also whats the point of them wearing knee pads if they aren’t going to use it?
So overall the game was entertaining but I got to say I’m sad I didn’t see many over hand serves because when I was their age I could serve overhand. I do think they need more bump set hits because it was mainly just passes but overall good job girls!

I mean there is room for improvement but I think their coaches should teach them pass, set and attack. Or over hand serve? It just hurts to watch them miss the ball alot

This video was actually really helpful to me because after one week i will be going to my 1st volleyball competition and this is the same way our coach has taught us( like the way of serve and underarm)..this video has motivated me and has given an idea of gow the competition is going to be for me. Thanks a lot!!
I play club and am ab this age. I think they are doing well, but maybe need a bit more time to master a 3 contact approach to smooth it out. also, they should prob work overhand bc its really important but a nice job anyways

Well you usually learn overhand your second or third year it is likely their first or second. I am in sixth grade, my second year, and right now we do not use overhand but practice it and a trying to get it in. Plus, it is almost the end of our season

Distracting the server is the point of yelling. While it’s not nice it is fair. Either team can distract the other.

My advice to Culver: Don’t force the girls to overhand. It’s better to do underhand and get it over than an overhand that doesn’t.
I’m going into sixth grade and I play for a club team but I’m gonna also try out for my school and they’re actually not bad considering the amount of time they had to learn but overall there are a lot of improvements to be made compared to a club team around that age for upcoming sixth graders some things I can correct so that you can add even more to your is to communicate mine , I go , short, deep over, I set , set 4 , set 3 . Definitely go for some more sets and hits. Practice your serves whether it’s over or under hand but it’s good to get ahead and learn overhand young before it’s a requirement so that you won’t struggle in the future . Be supportive of your teammates. That’s all I rlly have to say but most importantly HAVE FUN!,!
Edit- also go for the ball if nobody else is even if it’s deep TRY TO GET TO THAT BALL! And finally… I think at least practice your passing setting and hitting accuracy because one thing I noticed is that a lot of passes just went out of control

What about 3 contacts? Because if they learn they can gain more points in a game and they it’s a lot better so they can also get used to it in a game to😊
they need better training, they are 6th graders so i think its still good for their age but really they need to be trained better, they are playing tennis, volleyball needs action, 3 touches, spikes and good recive, for their age its a good point!

Guys I’m nervous I have my first school volleyball game ever and I’m starting left back can you give some tips
maybe a bit to late but always pass the ball to the setter if you make the first touch
Work on passing to the setter or just passing in general especially serving just to get it down but I think you will do awesome 👏🏼
I am in eighth grade this year 11 playing volleyball since fourth grade and I hope to make the varsity team next year as a freshman in high school however I’ve always been on the beach team but my team has really stepped up their game this year and we’re actually really good and we were in first place at the beginning of our season an hour in like fifth place because this one team is now undefeated but yeah
I wish both teams coaches would show them how to hit the ball right so they wouldn’t shank the ball

I think they did well!But there is def room for Improvement,I think they should have at least learned how to pass so they don’t have to do everything on their own as passing is very useful to the game,but overall they did well for 6th grade :)

I think the culver girls should work on a consistent underhand serve for games and then keep working in their over hands. Don’t get points by missing.

being in a a Samoan family when I was in six grade I was better then 8th grade volleyball players because in a Samoan family volleyball is like the only sport we do

They can overhand serve if they want, Either it’s more comfortable for them or they’re just better at that skill. There’s no rules whether you have to overhand, underhand , or anything.
