That dark zone right in front of the XJ drove me nuts so I went back to Halogens. Also the whiter light from the LEDs doesn't punch through the fog as well. The blue-white light reflected a lot more light back at me than the Halogens did.
Those are the exact same lights we put on my XJ. I really like them. Before I could hardly see at night with the stock lights. Huge difference! The only thing about them that I don’t like is when we go wheeling in the snow they get covered and don’t melt. But you probably don’t have to worry about that 😃. ❤️🐞
Ok, I caved and picked these up. Arrived yesterday and as Martin showed it is plug and play. I have a 99 XJ and had already rewired with new harness and was running an H4 conversion. The H4 conversion was way better than stock. I put the LED headlights on and wow...it makes the H4 conversion look like candles. The cutoff is nice and visibility is so much better. I was worried about the dark shadow you can see in the video but I really do not even notice it when driving. Good upgrade. I'll get another set for the other XJ.
Nice video. Definitely going to order a pair. Currently running led bulbs in a glass housing but they're beginning to flicker. My wife has something similar in her TJ and they are ridiculously white light. Makes My led's look yellow haha. Can't wait for the upgrade. Thanks
Love your vids. Those new lights down flood the area like the hellas you switched from. That 5000K is about the limit, any higher and they start becoming that VERY offensive bluish light. Cheers.
Nice upgrade for the XJ. I’m going to purchase today using your link thanks Martinbuilt. Just purchase a pair a minute ago using your link. they look great on your XJ..
@Eric Babcock That is similar, the section as it curves around to the fender is different, mine comes up higher at the bottom for more ground clearness.
I order a set for my 1998 jeep xj. They are great but i wish they didn't flicker . They flicker more when the turn signal is on. It's starting to drive me nuts.
I bought a pair of these in December 2020, and I noticed that my radio has EXTREME static problems when the headlights are on. And I mean, SEVERE. If I take the stereo receiver out of the dash it's perfectly okay, but when its in the dash, headlights are on, either low or high beams it doesn't matter, I lose all of my FM stations, inability to search channels etc. Headlights off? No problem with the radio. Any idea? I've tried ferrite cores etc. It just seems like a problem with LED lights.
Not sure if the rating on those headlights are accurate because there is no way 110 watts of LED’s can be cooled with such a little heat sink on the backside of the headlight module. I’m sure they would get insanely hot on the high beam at least.
Hey Martin, question about these lights. Bought same ones and installed them on my 2001 XJ. Bright af. But I noticed even when my headlight switch is all the way off, the led headlights are faintly ON. Do I have a ground issue? Thanks in advance.
That's odd, you may have a ground issue.. I had a similar thing happened with my grand Cherokee when I switched all the interior lights to LED they would faintly stay on and I had to add a a 1K resistor Across the ground to positive of one of the led lights and this cured the problem.
I own those and all I can say is mine dint come with instructions, low beam is very good and cut off is good but high beam is very shit , berly any diffrence , over all Hella H4s are better , lead glass and high beam makes a very good diffrence u got wide and range the only negative thing on those is that I can’t find anything that’s brighter like now I don’t need a light bar or spot lights , those do the job
I live north of edmonton and have no problems with snow sticking to them at all. Its snow 10 months out of the year and dark 17 hours a day and I have no problems at all.
That dark zone right in front of the XJ drove me nuts so I went back to Halogens. Also the whiter light from the LEDs doesn't punch through the fog as well. The blue-white light reflected a lot more light back at me than the Halogens did.
I put the same head lights on my xj a couple of years ago !!! They’re good !!

yeah, I saw your video on them you did a nice job. Your, not the only one that said the same thing about the snow, I never even thought about it.
I did a set of these on my s10 cameo. Like yours, I had a black grill. I like how they blend in better.
I totally agree! 😎
Been running those exact same lights for over 7 months super nice upgrade!! Plus they blink with the blinkers 😁
Your head light blinks at night when the blinker is on?????

That's awesome I'm glad you like them. I've been really happy with them as well.
I got a set of those for my 99 XJ. Made all the difference in the world! Wish I would have found them sooner! They dont feel or look cheap.
yeah, I am impressed with the light out put and these old eyes of mine need all the help they can get.
Great vid Martin, I might have to jump on the wagon. Lord knows I need some new headlights!
Wow. Those are really beautiful! Well done!
Thank you, Dan!
Got the lights and the harness with the relays for proper working order. I’m going to head to the school to adjust them in a few minutes
One-way light makes a good kit for the xj if you want to swap all your other exterior lights for leds. Good looking rig sir 👍
Thank you and thanks for the tip, I'll check them out.

Thanks
Thank you, glad I could help
Love your vids. Those new lights down flood the area like the hellas you switched from. That 5000K is about the limit, any higher and they start becoming that VERY offensive bluish light. Cheers.
Glad you like them! yeah I don't care for that bluish color at all.
Nice upgrade for the XJ. I’m going to purchase today using your link thanks Martinbuilt. Just purchase a pair a minute ago using your link. they look great on your XJ..
Thank you Greg I appreciate that. I'm sure you're gonna like them when you get them installed.
Thank you Martinbuilt.
These are great but they don’t melt snow!
Thanks for all the info Martin
I'm glad you liked it and found it helpful. Thank you for watching.
What brand is that awesome looking front bumper & do you have a install video on it? -THANX
It is a Bpi but, they stopped making bumpers years ago. It's too bad because they made a great bumper.
@Eric Babcock That is similar, the section as it curves around to the fender is different, mine comes up higher at the bottom for more ground clearness.
Those babies put out some light....
Yeah , very happy with them.
I am not good with wires, lol! But the DRL wire, where would this go to or just sit alone? Thank you for any answers!
Hey Martin..saw your WJ at bass pro the other day :)
yep, that was me, my daughter and I were there.
I order a set for my 1998 jeep xj. They are great but i wish they didn't flicker . They flicker more when the turn signal is on. It's starting to drive me nuts.
What front bumper is that?
Will these fit my 1990 Cherokee Laredo XJ?
Can you please give a tour of your xj??
I will do that

The 110 wattt rating is based on incandescent light output.
Are the lights still working well? Any issues? Would you still buy these if you needed to replace lights on an XJ?
Yeah, the lights are still working great and look great. I haven't had any issues with them, and yes, I would still buy them.
Thank you for watching.
What head lights and taillights would you recommend for a 01 jeep grand Cherokee laredo
I have done a couple of videos for the Grand ua-cam.com/video/dJjIE_ek6l8/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/_FZgN5idPPk/v-deo.html
just installed them in my 2000 xj. passenger side high beam wont work. any idea
I would try swapping the headlights and then see if now the driver side does not work. And if so I would return them.
So where did you get them?
Should've showed how to adjust......
I installed those without relays nor upgrading the harness. Is it safe or they will burn or blow up smtng in the jeep? 95 xj country édition
No need to upgrade the wiring or add relays as the LED lamps have a low AMP draw.

@@martinbuilt thanks Martin
Do these fit with no modifications done to the wiring
They are plug and play
What price?
Where did you find that bumper?
I got that from b p I unfortunately they don't make bumpers anymore.
I purchased that like thirteen years ago.
If you live in the Snow Belt don't waste your money. No Heat no snow melt off headlight.
I live north of edmonton and have no problems with snow sticking to them at all. Its snow 10 months out of the year and dark 17 hours a day and I have no problems at all.
