I liked the video before watching the video (like I do ever video). I said video three times in that last sentence. Now that makes four. Crap. Anywaaaaays, I can't believe the day is here. I'm going to re-learn the clipshift finally by someone I'm sure will get me over my humps in completing this maneuver. It's my favorite move to do and one of the first very hard sleights I've been able to accomplish. Thank the magician gods for allowing Jason to teach this. Now I'm off to take a shower and 'boke a smowl' before I play this video I already liked. Crap, that's five times I said it now.
I'm amazed at how your hand doesn't contort when you do the move, my whole hand looks different whilst in mid move, you can tell I'm up to no-good, although I have it down to pretty silent. Probably because my cards are thrashed from practicing this move 1000's of times with the same deck.
I've noticed that those who are able to do this 'smoothly' have big hands. I know this too personally because in my magic circle, and most of us have small hands, we can't do it smoothly but there's one big and fat guy with us does this like butter.
Yes, incredible cool and smooth. I also think it´s about the hand size. I'm now ble to perform the complete move - far from good - and I know, I never will make it smooth like butter as my hands are too small. But it`ll work okay in a few weeks as a cool, single hand control ... maybe, in some months, it`ll work as a color change also. There are moves I practice since years.
First time learning this change. Not gonna lie, this is going to take some effort, and a decent amount of time to learn. But if it was easy, then everyone would do it. Thanks for this one, it's amazing!
This will be my first time (in a long time) that I'm gonna learn this color change (again). I have high hopes that I'll learn it properly this time with you as my teacher. Maraming Salamat brother! (that's thank you in Filipino btw)
Thank you! I bought the original Chad Nelson video a while back and I was never able to get it to look as magical as it’s supposed to look. But watching your tips on getting the card under the finger and replacing and aligning it have immediately helped me improve on the parts that I was hung up on. Very cool, I think I’ll actually be able to get it now. 👍
I think I've invented a new trick, because no matter what I do, without fail, the card from the bottom of the deck will 'appear' face down. You make this stuff seem so effortless.; the more I try it, the more impressed I am by your skills.
Thank you Jason I think you're absolutely amazing for the magic community free as magicians thoughts are equally. It's only our audience werere trying to fool. I think it's so cool when magicians get together and share ideas. Yes and I am one.
I’ve been working on this for about a week now. It’s been rough. But just now with your tips, I did something that resembles a clip shift. The smile I got from the smallest progress, that’s why I do this. Thanks so much Jason and thank you Chad!
TNX for this one , This sleight is so hard , I understund moovments, but after many hoursof practice still cant get card to be placed on a top as I want. But you explained everything in this video, and I hop in a few months it will be done. #Respect
Thanks again Jason for another awesome tutorial. If I may share some synchronicity of having discovered your content around the same time I met my soulmate online ... I'm currently in Europe and she's in the States but I making plans to move there to be with her and her two young children, 4 and 10 yrs old. So yes, you guessed it, these tutorials will help me be the awesome guy in their mom's life 😉👊
Love the channel! This move is great! However, this honestly the first time I got a cramp in my finger! . . . lol You're awesome, Jason! . . . All the best! 👍👍
The only move that I couldn't learn since I started learning moves with cards 😅 but this video would be so helpful I guess.thanks for the tutorial Jason
!Yo, Jason your insane Thank you so much for sharing it, this change is the best I acctualy got it once today thanks to this tutorial, but the angels are still rough for me
Dude you need to promote that "join" thing I don't know why I haven't joined yet, but hey it's done now I'm in !! love your stuff dude have a nice day !
I saw this 2 years ago, but I couldn't even do it enough to practice and gave up. Now I am re-visiting it and after just 20 minutes, I can do it very badly. Let the practice begin.
Having seen Ramsay/Madison etc do this type of move, I have to say your version is equal if not better than at least one of the above. To teach sleights is a finite source of content, but is more about passing on to others the essence or the spirit of these methods to me, rather than the engineering that you show-- that is so vital and inspiring to would be performers and hobbyists alike ( me for instance) Without these kinds of occassioal tutorials one could be dismissed wrongly as an exposer ( poor choice of words) or a low level carnival barker. What is great about your stuff to me, is that you are sharing your deeper philosophy of the art, when you said" I could go into more detail, but that's enough to get you started you made an important point. As in my area of guitar playing, people make rhe mistake of slavishly reproducing licks that others have done, instead of being inspired to develop their own unique approach to doing something which amounts to the same thing on paper, but fails to evoke a response from the observer, which is the whole point of the excercise! Hopefully you get what I mean, so thank you for producing content which can be regarded not just superficially, but reading between the lines, if you like their's more substance to be projected through the performance, not just style.
Thanks dude for sharing this trick! Fun thing is that I often noticed that move in your videos (I mean, a suspicious move of a point finger in top of the deck) and I was pretty sure that's when the top card changes ))) But! I could not get a single clue how exactly it is done)
Thank you for making this tutorial and: Damn, Baby! This is so hard and I now remember giving up practicing this move some years ago. Now I´m practicing it again since a few days and I manage to do the full movement and get the card under the index finger like it should be - without picking the cards from the floor afterwards ;) But I have absolutely no clue how to get this even fluently looking, much less, to let it look like the topmost card actually would have been color changed by magic. And still the click when freeing the card from the bottom is too loud. Funny, the flick at the end of the Clip Change seems to be the hardes part of the complete routine for me. Puh, this is really a tough one. :)
I do magic tricks also I've been working on for about 6 years. My question is how do you keep your hands moist to where you can do the tricks easy? cuz my hands are so dry that they don't stick to the cards to be able to manipulate them. Constantly licking my fingers and it's pain in the ass. So what do you use?
I've been working on this a little bit every day since you posted it and I'm so much closer than any other version I've tried. Only one thing is giving me problems. How do you keep from pushing extra cards over when lining up?
I thought chris ramsay created this? eh ho you learn somat new everyday. This is the first card tutorial where the sound has been mentioned. The sound is very rarely mentioned in tutorials so kudos. 😜
Oooh, a different method. I'll have to play around to see if I have better luck learning this. The original clipshift was a pain, I could mechanically do it but never got it smooth.
REMEMBER TO SMASH LIKE!!!! engagement is key to growth!!!

good on you man lol i purchased chad nelsons video.. but love you stuff !
Oh my! = He he he!
Nice memes!
First thing I do is smash like then watch 😎👍
Do you apply anything to your hand for grip?
I'm amazed at how your hand doesn't contort when you do the move, my whole hand looks different whilst in mid move, you can tell I'm up to no-good, although I have it down to pretty silent. Probably because my cards are thrashed from practicing this move 1000's of times with the same deck.
My thoughts as well. Guess it's practice practice practice.
I've noticed that those who are able to do this 'smoothly' have big hands. I know this too personally because in my magic circle, and most of us have small hands, we can't do it smoothly but there's one big and fat guy with us does this like butter.

Knowing how it's done just makes magic that much more magical. You are amazing.

I swear I read this comment after I wrote mine.
same bro same! hahhahaha
You made the move look so easily achievable!! BRILLIANT tutorial! Thanks brother!! Subscribed!!! Practice is on!
The first word " BOYS !" almost made me fall of my couch 😂😂😂
Thank you! I bought the original Chad Nelson video a while back and I was never able to get it to look as magical as it’s supposed to look. One of those moves I always avoided for some reason. This is a great tutorial!
At that stage where I want to throw the deck and myself out the window, but I know the key is practice. Thanks for the tutorial

Best clip shift tutorial, and, likely, one of the best clip shifter around!
Thank you Jason I think you're absolutely amazing for the magic community free as magicians thoughts are equally. It's only our audience werere trying to fool. I think it's so cool when magicians get together and share ideas. Yes and I am one.

Oh hell yes! How did I miss this a month ago?!?!? Thanks Jason.
I bought and learned Chad's method back in the day. Nice to see another magician's method! I still need to work on getting my shift silent...
Once I learn this, I know it will be my go to move for sure!
Love the channel! This move is great!
However, this honestly the first time I got a cramp in my finger!
. . . lol
You're awesome, Jason!
. . . All the best! 👍👍
Thank you so much Jason I was getting hand cramps doing this move And nice tips
One of these moves perfect in front the tv.. like a classic pass or a dps :)
Thank you
I've only seen everyone ask for this to be taught on every magic channel I've ever seen lolol should see some sweet seen growth with this one ^.^
I'm all over your videos today! This handling works a bit better for me than Conradi's Thanks again Jason!
Matt - Where can I find Conradi's version, please.
The only move that I couldn't learn since I started learning moves with cards 😅 but this video would be so helpful I guess.thanks for the tutorial Jason
Great tutorial. Thanks, Jason!
!Yo, Jason your insane
Thank you so much for sharing it, this change is the best
I acctualy got it once today thanks to this tutorial, but the angels are still rough for me
Normaly you have to pay round about 10 Bucks for a Tutorial like this with such deep details. Because of that a big thanks Bro!
🙏⭐🙏
I love watching you perform this trick. I had no idea you taught it!
Thank you for teaching this!
God, You really have to appreciate this move and you do it with grace😁
You have the second most iconic laugh. After Beavis and Butt-Head, of course.
Amazing tutorial this move is so satisfying to get right😁 do you have any tips to get it silent
I tried learning this a couple of years ago, never got it. That tip you gave about levering the deck helps a little!
Go Jason! Love all your content (oh my!). Your jokes are funny 😂. Wish you could come to Maryland to perform at Ocean City.
Nice tutorial JM🤓👍Great squaring tip near the end too.
Hope you found it helpful my bro!
Love that you're telling me how to do it yet I still have no idea, nor will I ever be able to do it lol
This guy will one day be a relatively famous UA-cam magic influencer. Just so you know.
Love it, mate! Looks amazing. Would love to see you do s tutorial on the ‘C3 colour change’.
Incredibly detailed tutorial - very well done!! New sub :)
Can’t believe I missed this last week! You make it look easy lol
Hahaha the Jeki Yoo Easter egg is a hilariously good idea!
Your tutorials are awesome
Your clipshift is so clean man 💥
Thank god, I’m not the only one that felt frustrated and wanting to throw my cards across the street lol. This helped so much!
Gonna take a lot of practice. My hand hurts already lol 😆 and yes I stretched thanks for that tip btw it does help
Dude you need to promote that "join" thing I don't know why I haven't joined yet, but hey it's done now I'm in !! love your stuff dude have a nice day !
Aayyeee bro you're amazing!!!!

You are too talented 🎉
Thanks.... keep it up. Good ideas.
Thankyou so much for making this video . Do you recommend me to start with half a deck i see that with half of the deck is easier.
If that's how you learn, I personally learnt with the whole deck, cutting out the middle man as it is
I love this dude! ❤
Thank you very much super explanation. Sorry I’m swiss My English is bad.
I love ur video’s man 💪
Awesome 😎 thanks brother 🙏
Thanks dude.I wont to learn this so badly .
You have your new abbonent here❤️
Man.. this is fricken hard baby :)
I also thought it was a Ramsey move? Always learning here :)
I'm gonna hit subscribe
Great stuff 👏 😂😎☕️
Thanks dude for sharing this trick! Fun thing is that I often noticed that move in your videos (I mean, a suspicious move of a point finger in top of the deck) and I was pretty sure that's when the top card changes ))) But! I could not get a single clue how exactly it is done)
Wow 😍 unreal new sub brother
Nice tutorial!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful move! I can't even get the card to peel off to save my life.

Always can't square up in the last part, this is really helpful :)
Yeah I imagined alot of people struggled with it so I wanted to help lol
Thats neat! Worth practicing!!!
What is the name of background music in the tutorial🗿❓ 6:53 and 5:43 🌚

You remind me of dude love how you talk bro
Maybe a couple of weeks if you’re already a seasoned card magician lol this move is hard as hell to perform consistently clean.
That shirt is awesome
I've been working on this a little bit every day since you posted it and I'm so much closer than any other version I've tried. Only one thing is giving me problems. How do you keep from pushing extra cards over when lining up?
Same here!
@@Rlima0 for me its usually jsut gripping the deck a little bit more so the pressure holds the top cards together
thanks really helpful
Gob smacked😂 I'm new to this. It's hard. Life is pain.❤
Fantastic move 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for watching
@@streetmagiciandude this video is worthy for a like and share💯💕🙌😁
I thought chris ramsay created this? eh ho you learn somat new everyday.
This is the first card tutorial where the sound has been mentioned. The sound is very rarely mentioned in tutorials so kudos. 😜
Glad it was helpful!
I realize how hard magic is to do with very small hands
I find myself moving the "top" card when I'm lining up the target card... Any tips?
More pressure between the thumb and index finger thats holding the deck
Great tutorial. Does Jeki know about his cameo?
That a beautiful trick
Oh baby 🤤 but I've a feeling this is wreck my head trying to get it to work
You can do it!!
@@streetmagiciandude after a few attempts, I don't have your confidence 😰
Can you please do one describing how you false shuffle to find all the aces
Oooh, a different method. I'll have to play around to see if I have better luck learning this. The original clipshift was a pain, I could mechanically do it but never got it smooth.
For me your the best
Nice shift❤️
thanks bro!
I can't even do the first step, like there's many cards that get separated from the bottom. Is being left handed makes tricks more difficult ?
