- This is a QB workout with Jadis Lefono, a 7th grade QB that moved here in 2017 from Samoa. He’s only played football for three years, & QB for two. In this session we focused on two very foundational parts of throwing, base/posture, & staying in rhythm.

Can you do a video teaching an absolute beginner to throw? Some of these guys are already playing varsity and are focusing on fine tuning there skills and motion. I think teaching someone who is an absolute begginer will help show us the steps to learn to throw.

wow. grade 7?!? this kid is amazing for his age. I know you are the coach and im not, but I did notice that when hes throwing hes kind of slicing the ball and throwing side armed, this causes his pronation come out weird. You should really try to get him in the habit of coming up and through at a 90 degree angle with his forearm. Still has 2 years until things get serious for him. This kid is something special 👏
You’re right, & it will come with time. Being patient with his process but trust it will all come together 🙏

Great video. Got a question I'd appreciate if you'd help me out with. When throwing a football, how angled should your forearm be? I notice some quarterbacks like to keep it almost vertical to a tee, while others have it almost out in a 45 degree angle. Is there an ideal? Why do some do it different than others?
It’s all about preference & what feels natural, although all high level QBs have the ability to variate that angle when the situation calls for it (higher release & lower release throws)
Have you ever trained a left handed qb if you have is it different from training a righty

Why does the tip of the football stay pointing upward but when u throw fade balls it goes pointing up to pointing down
Aerodynamics. The wind direction has a lot to do with it but spin rate & angle of the ball at release affect it too
