Kalapahad was a Muslim General of the Bengal Sultanate under the reigning Karrani Dynasty, who is mentioned in the Mughal Empire records as the one who attacked Puri Jagannath Temple with his army to tear down the Konark temple. His original name was Rajiblochan Ray, who was a pious Vaishnava Brahmin.They are also no toriously related to the partly destruction of Sun Temple Konark.
