1969 I was in Los Angeles with my family visiting other family members. Tom Jones was appearing at the Greek theater, oh my God. My uncle who was luckily an insider got us three tickets… It was sold out when we got there. For two hours on stage and the place was sold out Tom Jones hypnotized that audience including us with his Voice, his moves and his superior talent one of the greatest concerts I’ve ever seen and I was 21 years old. I am so excited that I saw him very early on in his career and it was a happening
On This Is Tom Jones, every week Tom performed a duet with many of the biggest singing stars of his era. Many of them are right here on UA-cam: Janis Joplin, Stevie Wonder, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Tina Turner, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett... the list goes on and on.
Hi from England I have been a FAN of Tom since the mid 1970's. He just had CHARISMA like ELVIS. Could you imagine both of them on STAGE together AWESOME😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤👌but the song and video should have been headed "TREAT THOSE 2 SISTERS RIGHT" HA HA There is a video of Tom singing LOVE MACHINE from a TV show mid 70's OH MY He wore black BELL bottom TROUSERS and a pinkish red blouson SHIRT All i can say is HOW HE MANAGED TO GET INTO THOSE TROUSERS -LET ALONE OUT OF THEM. THEY SHOWED OFF HIS MANLY PHYSIQUE and he wore a pair of HIGH HEELED SHOES IF YOU REACT ITS AWESOME.
My favorite Tom Jones is his performance of "Delilah" from the Ed Sullivan Show Apr 1968. He had quite a few hits from the late 60s to early 70s, then he dropped out of the limelight for several years until in the 1980s he made a come back by covering Prince's "Kiss" with the Art of Noise.
You guys forgot that Tom Jones among other entertainers like Elvis....and James Brown....Mick Jagger.....and it was all about "Soul" and women or being "the ladies man." Like The Beatles he was very popular especially when danced.....These guys paved the way for other artist like Prince...Michael Jackson....Justin Timberlake....and many more artist to come. He and James.....and Elvis set the standard of entertainment.😉
My favs of Toms are - its not unusual and Green green grass of home....oooh and you can leave your hat on, take a look at the live version from the voice uk 2017
Now that Tom Jones has set the table for Asia, let's do the right thing a put her out of her misery. Tom Jones and Elvis were friends of a sort. They had a friendly competition when it came to the ladies. So, BJ watch and learn from two of the best. She needs to see Elvis in 197o and his live performance of LOVE ME TENDER. She's gonna want to be in the crowd and won't be able to control that girlish giggle when she sees Elvis perform this song for the ladies. All the men in the audience can only watch. So let her have this one. That's just the way or was way back in the 2oth century. Man! Those were the days!!
Elvis Presley and Tom Jones were really good friends from the 60's on up to the day Elvis died, Elvis considered Tom the one true friend he had, and before they were friends Elvis was Tom's idol, Much love from Florida.
Tom was the ultimate ladies man!!💙🎶 Panties and hotel keys flying on the stage every performance!!😎 Check out Tom and Janis Joplins duet, "Raise Your Hands" on Tom's show back in the day "This Is Tom Jones"...talk about getting stirred up!!🎸🎶💙🎶 And, please react to Tom Jones and Wilson Picketts duet...fantastic to see and hear!!🎶💙🎶🎶
I ''discovered'' Tom when I read in a magazine the he was Jackie Jackson's (Jackson 5) favorite singer. From then on, I was always in front of my TV set to watch the Tom Jones Show!!!
My Mom LOVED Tom Jones when I was growing up. She said he was so sexy and I never understood her love for him until I saw what a player he was. Women used to throw panties at him in concert! What a stud! Keep up the good work guys. I love your channel!
Tom Jones is the Definition of “Cool” and “Player”. His TV show was must see TV back in the Day. Woman would just lose it when he Sang. Absolutely Lose It. His Collaboration’s with other Artists are Legendary With Janice Joplin is Absolutely Amazing. Also with Billy Preston & Engelbert Humperdink. Check it Out
He was my 2nd crush when I was around 5ish. My first crush right before him... Flip Wilson. lol. You should YT Sir Tom Jones | Best Voice Performance's From Tom Jones | The Voice UK. This was last year & he's still got it. All the girls love him & guys want to be him. You also check out Elvis from 1970 Love Me Tender. He goes in the audience and kisses all the girls. Their guys didn't care because they knew they were getting some later on.
Tom Jones had his own tv show in America from 1969 till 1971 I believe. All the famous singers went on the show to perform. His guests Janis Joplin amazing the greatest USA singer for me and also Stevie wonder etc. From the sixties onwards. please have a look.
And he's still got it at 80 years old. Check out this from just a couple of years ago - Sir Tom Jones & Jennifer Hudson's 'It's A Man's Man's Man's World'
Tom Jones had them dropping them in the audience every time out...This kissing and dancing routine was a regular part of his TV show as well as at his concerts, where it really got crazy...
He was doing his best Wilson Pickett impersonation. He always said, he tried to vocalize like Mr Pickett. Ya'll should check out him and Wilson doing In the Midnight Hour live.
there was a question as to whether Tom Jones was black. His mother was unsure of her ancestry and eventually he had DNA tests which showed black ancestry, although thats not odd in many people (and look at pictures of him now). You can also find older videos of him when he was more of a blues and rock singer. He is a very interesting man
Guys you have to watch Elvis singing LOVE ME TENDER LIVE IN 1970. You’ll see where Tom got kissing the woman in the audience. It’s a must watch. Joey from the Bronx
Your right. That was pretty much ornery for that year. He was a heart throb in his days. I don’t know if you know this or not but he was a very good friend of Elvis Presley. They spent a lot of time together. When I say a lot they would take time off with each other and Elvis would even ask Tom what he thought of some of his songs.
OMG thank you for doing this one. LOL. I will periodically play this video if I need to feel good. I laugh EVERY time. What a performance! It really brings me joy.
You don't know how good this guy had it! Women of all ages and dimensions would throw their hotel room keys at the stage- as well as other things. Boy was IT back then.
Notice that after a minute dancing his a** off he drops that finale! He was an animal! Please react to him doing "You´ve Got What It Takes" with Fran Jeffries. That´s a hot number too...
Tom could get down and we've heard him sing songs like I'm never going to fall in love and Delilah and we know he gets down but when he did the song Treat Her Right he's warning us if you don't treat your lady good he will reminds me of me LOL BJ and Asia thank you again no matter how old some songs are they never loose their Greatness!
This corresponds exactly to the image he has maintained all his life since the '60s. The hottest export Wales has ever had. He topped his career 1999 with his last no 1 - Se* Bomb. Check it out.
Love me some Tom Jones- when I was a little girl, I’d hear him come on and run to the TV- 🤣 hey🤷🏻♀️ I just liked him at the ripe ole age of 10 or 11 years old- My stepmother was like 🤯🤨🤔. 🤣Love y’all! 💖💙
Now Picture Tom and Elvis would be going to clubs they would check out each other’s shows and then the after party wow what a time that would be to get into one of the after party 😎🍹🍷🍻🍸🍺🥃💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃💃🕺🕺🏼
You Should check out Engelbert Humperdinck ( Release me )(Spanish eyes)(The Last Waltz )( Ami that easy to forget ) he wasout the same time as Tom Jones and was just as big as Tom
I've gotta admit, I LIKE it when Asia drops all her armor and just stares ... or drools, because you KNOW she gets it ... but to have both of you dumbfounded and loving a performance like this ... well, it's just really special to see. I have an old soul, as I have been told, and I was just a little boy when he was doing this. He was my mom's favorite artist and so, you know, I saw every one of his performances that was possible to see, and at between ages 5 and 10, watching TJ doing this stuff, I KNEW what he meant, why and how he meant it, and it was so funny cause, my friends didn't have a clue about any of it. I was always wondering why. It seemed obvious to me. True story ... When I was in kindergarten, we always had too many kids for the number of cots they had, so some of us had to sleep on the floor for the afternoon nap. Of course, I was 1 of the "unfortunates". Anyway, I remember purposefully positioning my towel in such a way that girls had to step over me to get to the bathroom so I could ... well, maybe that's a subject for another day ... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 let's just say I was very aware of things, even when I was very young. C'mon, relax ... I was only 5 years old for Pete's sake.
Asia & BJ. You will love his "Its Not Unusual" and "She's A Lady"!!! He talked the talk and walked the walk!!
It was an understood rule to never interrupt the ladies when Tom Jones came on the tv. Nobody made the panties fly like him.
Some used to bring them to his shows by the bagful (there was talk of making "pantie flinging" an Olympic event)
😂 😂 😂

If you haven't reacted to it yet, Tom's song I Who Have Nothing is one of my favorites.
Asia, that's why women used to toss their underwear on stage! Truth!
You guys forgot that Tom Jones among other entertainers like Elvis....and James Brown....Mick Jagger.....and it was all about "Soul" and women or being "the ladies man." He was a great dancer and that voice is soooo strong!
We saw Tom Jones in the late 1990s or early 2000s and he was still dancing and kicking like when he was young. He is Welsh.
Now you know why he spent almost 50 years entertaining in Las Vegas. He is still singing . . . .
Cheers.
Tom had the moves and can sing🤗✌️🤘
I pulled every muscle in my body just watching him dance!
That's probably very late 1960's....Tom is 80 today and still killing it 😎
