Richard Stanley Q & A in Tampere, Finland

On January 19th 2024 I had the pleasure to see Dust Devil for the first time on the big screen and also catching director of the movie, Richard Stanley, live and giving Q & A session after the film. Lots of interesting anecdotes of the film here!

It's a shame that Richard Stanley's Hardware wasn't released by Arrow. Apparently Arrow didin’t release film because of Stanleys charges abuse allegation? Apparently, the charges were dropped in court and hopefully we will get to see Stanleys films in 4K.

Stanley on kiehtova ohjaaja. Vaikka mielestäni yksikään sen elokuvista ei ole täydellinen "homerun", niissä kaikissa on hyvin omalaatuinen visuaalinen ilme ja kiehtova tunnelma. Edelleen vaivaa millainen se Dr. Moreaun Saari olisi voinut olla jos Stanley olisi saanut tehdä sen loppuun.

Uh huh sounds like movie censorship back in the days was even worse in South Africa than what it was here in Finland. I'm glad to hear Richard Stanley is making another Lovecraftian movie :)
