- Swat Valley is known known as the 'Switzerland of Pakistan.' It's a beautiful place for hiking in Pakistan and I hiked to Jahanabad Village which is famous for it's seated Buddha; the largest Seated Buddha in the Swat Valley.
Swat is one of the prettiest places in Pakistan, and a great place for backpackers, anyone that loves adventure travel and a highlight for not only foreigners in Pakistan but also domestic tourists.

Pakistani People in Pakistan are very Friendly People in the World hence why tourist keep coming back year after year natural beauty, crystal clear water Lakes and the mighty mountain ranges of the Karakorum Seriously the beauty is absolutely mind-blowing in the summer months when millions of wildflowers paint the valley a multitude of bright colours that give it the effect of a mystical paradise.
The locals believe that the beauty of the land is conducive to magical supernatural fairies that wander about freely taking inspiration from the landscape. There are crystal blue rivers and streams that cleanse the soul of all stress and anxiety against the backdrop of lime green hills and meadows.
Mesmerising natural wonders that exist in North Pakistan beautiful green trees and Flowers it is easy to believe you have walked straight into heaven.

Swat is certainly the "Switzerland of Pakistan" , very rightly mentioned. I have been to Grindlewald and Interlaken in Switzerland and the landscape is so identical. Swiss have made an excellent transport system and train network in that region but Pakistan needs some sort of infrastructure to promote tourism in this extremely beautiful region. In my time spent in Pakistan, all I saw was amazing hospitality, landscape, food, music, and the most welcoming people.
On my visit to Pakistan for the first time ever, I distinctly remember these days.
I was first introduced to the country by my Pakistani roommates many years ago when I was 18 and living in London. Their stories had piqued my interest right away. Finally, after all this time, I got the chance to come to Pakistan. It took me two months to plan my trip and included many nights of researching what to do and where to go.

I been Switzerland and Canada many times. It’s absolutely foolish to compare the grandeur and beauty of Pakistani mountains and forests with Swiss alps or Canadian Rockies... they are also beautiful and well managed but Pakistani mountains are simply incomparable, too majestic, too beautiful and inhabited by poor people but their hearts are made of gold and full of hospitality. Where as Swiss or Canadians won’t even offer you a glass of water for free despite immense wealth. Terrain only doesn’t makes mountains gorgeous, it’s also the people and their hearts ♥️
