Living in NY and hearing people bump'in Lil Boosie in the streets makes me wanna die man. Lil Boosie can't rap, and it's sad because I remember a time when NOBODY in NY would've been bump'in weak material like that. NY has to get its soul back.

Its that arrogance that went a long way in contributing to the east coast west coast beef. NY Dj's refused to play west coast jams on the radio and talked shit about their sound on top of it. What NY didn't realize was that Hip Hop needed to grow and evolve, so it couldn't be about borough vs borough anymore, it had to have some other players involved or it would have died. And because NY created it, they couldn't handle being challenged and probably still cant. It'll come back around again I'm sure.
DoggieNYC I'm part of the "throne was stolen from right under their noses while they were busy beefing" crowd. I was always a fan of the music being territorial, but I wanted it to always stay a "we're the best and here's why" scenario, not anyone being shitted on. It's like being a champion and never really wanting competition. I invited all regions to put their music on the table. I always felt NY was the best but never had the "fuck everyone else" attitude. As long as you took the music serious I was with you. But artists then and now who look at this as just a hustle to get money...that's the disrespect to the culture. At the end of the day if you strip Jay Z of all his money and fame, he was just a dude who liked to rap and loved to record, so i respect that. But one thing I don't want to hear anymore is bitching. Get back to your sound and show the world why you're the best. NY had the untouchable aura and didn't know what to do with it...and now they're like superheroes who've been stripped of their powers---gotta learn to make it out there like everybody else.
zlistcelebrity Yea there really seems to be this reoccurring theme with NY acts that "We have to get our Mojo back" and they're so occupied with this that they're not concentrating on just making good music. You cant put the genie back in the bottle. NY has become so watered down , originality wise , over the better part of 2 decades now, it will never get back to where it was. But that being said said if they just do there thing they'll be alright. Stop bitchn, ya know.

Man I remember I had bleeks first and second album my mom threw away coming of age .And I let my cuzin hold thy understanding and he never gave it back. But thanks to the UA-cam I can still listen to classic rocafella albums.
But I have to say both first two albums by bleek are hard as nails. Those are the hardest rap C.D.'S I ever heard from new York city. I think that bleek is an excellent rapper he represents for all the gangsta's worldwide.
