Kia has really up’d their game, they are making really good cars nowadays that even look good and are reliable. I just bought a 2018 rio lx and for 15k you get quite a bit. Very pleased with it so far.
I own an Optima Hybrid, sometimes when I see videos on the Rio 5, it makes me want to downgrade back to a Rio because they are fun cars to drive in; parking is a breeze! HIGHLY recommend to anyone.

Nice car. I wish my 07’ Kia Sportage was still running to this day. Mine is the EX trim with the leather seating, sunroof, the V6 engine, and dual exhaust. Doesn’t have heated seats but it’s loaded for what it was. And needs a new engine. It’s been through 2 engine replacements. The first one overheated. The 2nd one timing belt snapped and my valves and pistons hit. And needs another engine in it and spent about 8,000 just to keep it running and it needs work with the A/C due to the electrical. My mom just got a new 17’ Ford Focus SEL and it’s just as nice as this car and has new features except that now we have the Sportage, the focus, and we have a 2010 Camry LE. I just wish Kia would make their cars more reliable like ford and Toyota. My Sportage also has 151,000 miles.

Rio Sedan or Hatchback? What are the advantages over each other? I guess the Sedan has more interior/cargo space while the Hatchback saves more fuel? but why Sedan is cheaper? Please help. Thank you
It comes down to preferences. The hatchback sells very well in parts of the world, especially here in Canada, and specifically in Quebec. The Sedan is more popular in the U.S. market. Hatchbacks give you a larger opening to load big items when the seats are down, while the sedan gives you a longer trunk floor, and a lockable, out of sight compartment separate from the passenger compartment.
The front grille looks like the Corolla. When I bought my 19 Cruze LS, It had an inflater package, and I had to buy a spare donut tire. The wheel, tire, and mounting came to $305.

Wow the Canadian one is a lot sharper than the US model. Thats sharp! Those wheels change my whole opinion on the cars. With the 15 inch alloys in the US the car looks outdated and blah. Not the Canadian one it looks amazing!
The biggest visual difference is that the U.S. models don't have 17 inch alloy wheels, they have 15 inch wheels. We have the same wheels on our EX model, but our EX Sport and EX Tech models have the larger wheels shown in this video.
This version of UVO is an updated version that works with your smart phone. You can control many features from the app on your phone including starting the vehicle. If your vehicle is equipped with this feature, it will not need your key in the car to start it, but you WILL need the key to drive away.
I drive a KIA Rio for work everyday. Nice zippy little cars that even my 6' 3" frame fit in. My biggest issue with these is KIA circle logo badges are ugly af and the USB outlet charges VERY slow. Not sure what year they are. Hatchback version.
You could always put some duct tape (LOL) over the KIA logo or make your own KISS logo. Get a $20 power inverter from Harbor Freight that You can plug into your cigar lighter (does it even have a cigar lighter?) and it will charge things up quickly,
I think it handles very well in the snow. Of course the best way to make a car safer in the winter is to equip it with winter tires. They make a world of difference in the cooler months and the bad weather.
Amazing video and details by a great speaker, but I wanted to see more of the inside and the infotainment system and less of this knowledgeable presenter :)

kinda wish i bought this instead of the 2019 optima. I have the panoramic roof which is sick and has way more room but this gets damn near double in gas mileage and about half the price. advice do not by the forte if you go automatic. it has a shitty nissan cvt the ones notrious for breaking down even at only 10k miles
The Forte doesn't win Canadian Small Car of the Year and finish top three in Overall Canadian Car of the Year if the CVT works like the ones you're describing. Nobody is more critical of CVT's than the automotive press, they're also the ones who voted for this award. One manufacturer having trouble dialing in a certain transmission has nothing to do with a completely unrelated manufacturer and their transmission.
This video loses my interest at 6:23. It would have better be to see shots of the cars interior instead. I don't want to buy the presenter i don't need to see him.

Little critique slow down your going way too fast. Also start of the video make sure your tell your viewers engine specs and MOST IMPORTANT fuel mileage numbers. If possible take few minutes drive video in your car when taking handling. If you talk to me about about handling I won't believe you because to me a viewer you look like a salesman trying to sell his product. Try to Be my friend giving me his honest opinion not a salesman trying hard to jam his car down my throat.

Boy, the EX that we are offered in the US has nothing on the EX Tech up there. Looks like a completely different car with those 17” wheels.
