  • Occupational gender segregation is a prominent feature in the Swedish labor market. One property that commonly distinguish men’s and women’s work is the math intensity and women remain notably underrepresented in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) workforce. Part of the issue lies in the fact that many girls do not perceive themselves as proficient in STEM subjects.
