Spot on review. I love my Focal Aria 926 speakers. The bass opened up more after 2 weeks. For classic rock, jazz and classical, a sub is not needed. I use a McIntosh MC152 and the top end is not harsh or splashy, good 3D depth and bass is solid and smooth.

I build speakers and I hand pumped an 8" driver that was used for years and I also hand pumped a brand new same driver and it was twice as stiff! Empirical evidence that break-in is a thing! 😂

Will the combo of Aria 926 and Arcam SA30 sound good in a 168 sq feet (15.6 Sq meters) room, given that Arcam SA30 has Dirac room correction software?

Hi and thanks for the video, I have Focal Aria 926 (which sound great) and a Cambridge Audio CXA81.
As a Bluesound Node 2i source and as a DAC Topping E30.
As an Amp it is fine but I would like to replace it with something that sounds even better, do you have any advice?

It could be that your DAC is the bottleneck.

If possible I'd get a second hand Hegel for 500-1000 as they sound amazing and have good DACs built-in 👌

Thinking of getting these for my living room. I’ll be about 4 meters from them .
Looking at several different speakers in the price range of these .
The Polk R700 but they are bigger and more bass .
KLH Model 5s or their tower speakers made in Canada . They are a walnut veneer . Any suggestions of this bunch ?
My Amp is a Denon 1700ne , Denon 1700 CD player with the Denon DNC 2000 DAC/Streaming unit and the Rega 50th Anniversary edition Pannar 3 .
Is that Denon tuned sound ok with these Focals ?

Hi, Are these Focal Aria 926 good for prog rock, rock, jazz and reggae music? I would like to use these in a room that measures 19ft long x 11ft wide x 10-14ft high. Are the HF sibilant or ear fatiguing? TIA.

I've owned a pair of 926 for almost 2 years. Would say that they are pretty versitile and plays most genres well, including metal, jazz and rock.
My room is 22x13 x8ft which by size and volume is similar to yours. I find that they do a good enough job of filling the room, but is lacking in bass on many recordings. A subwoofer would fix that.
The tweeters are on the bright side, BUT my room have quite a bit of an echo in it, so I've struggled with listening fatigue. The Aria 906 I had before these did not fatigue me. I'm sure some room treatment would solve most of my issues. My ears are pretty sensitive. Even using USB for source or using higher quality cables pushed the brightness over the top for me. Went from Rotel RA1572 -> Hegel H90 -> Hegel H190. Having smoother front end equipment has helped and I wouldn't pair the focals with overly bright front gear. Got a few dozen listening hours of Aria 936 and I think they are a big upgrade to 926, especially for larger rooms like ours.
The burn in time is long for these speakers. Took me over 100 hours for the bass to develop, although it probably reaches 70% potential the first 40 hours. I jokingly say that when I sell the speakers, I should charge more than what I paid for them new for the service of burning them in ^^

i think the walnut is veneer and the other lighter one is real wood.
