Thank you for posting this. I had to store my muzzleloader in a friend's basement and had rust develop in an impossible to reach area but wasn't sure it would come apart with some punches.
If you are having trouble with removing the rusty parts, use a penetrating oil like Kroil to loosen them up. I have had Blackpowders that were completely rusted shut come into the shop before. I put a generous amount of Kroil on them and after a few minutes of soaking they loosened right up.
You should make a video how to easily trim some trigger pull off the trigger assembly. They come between 5 and 7 pounds and they should be lowered to a 1 or 2 pound trigger pull
Helpful advice. You pull the frame back every time you do something. When a demonstration video is done, it's not done for you but your audience. That means you do whatever it takes to keep the Encore frame within the camera frame. Secondly you don't show parts configuration at each step when its in its proper place.
I believe that is the sorriest how to video that I've ever seen in my entire life. What we got out of it was a screen shot of a bunch of gun parts laying on a workbench.. It would have been just as effective, had it been done on radio..
No extractor? Damn it I been searching for someone who knows anything about them. Did the trigger spring kit all went well works great. Except now my extractor won't let the barrel lock up?? Had to remove it and locks fine. Not a damn clue why
Mine was because the firing pin bushing needed to be "lapped", 4 thousands of an inch removed. The amount will most likely be different for yours. Bellm T/Cs is a great place to contact about the process and instructions and everything else that goes along with headspace. They have a UA-cam channel too
Help Please! I have a Contender with the super 14 barrel in 223 and today when I shot it the ported compensator came off. How do I reattach it or does it require a gunsmith to do it?
Yes because all that power you shoot make cleaning your Muzzleloader a big hassle, the t/c Muzzleloaders are not cheap now.i own 2 the encore prohunter that I can change out my Muzzleloader barrels out the my rifle barrels, and a fx prohunter Muzzleloader.i give a poop load for all mine so I dont know about you guys but I'm going to try to learn to take care of what my hard earned money bought and payed for.i also have a cva wolf,a cva Optima v 2,and a old knight lk 93 still uses the # 11 cap Muzzleloader.i try to take care of my hunting gear and tools so when it comes to that once in a life time shot on a big buck my Muzzleloader's are prepped and ready 🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌😊😁👍👌‼
I thought the barrel pin was designed not to come out.? so you cant switch barrels . I have the fx I didn't think the pin would come out. do you take it out much?
Removing the barrel pin is not something that should be done on a regular basis. This video shows how to do a very thorough disassemble in the case of broken parts or cleaning the trigger assemble every few years.
You can remove the scope if you are concerned able damaging it. I did not think it necessary, most modern scope can easily handle the shock of removing that pin. At most it might change your zero, but if you remove the scope that would also change the zero.
You didn't remove the rear nut? Is there some type of pin in there? I have to use washes when I put on a stock because the hammer wouldn't come back and cock; what causes that?
I believe the rear nut is just threaded on and has a thread locker like red Loctite on it. Since there was no real need for me to remove the rear nut, I didn't think it was a good Idea to risk damaging the camo, in order to heat up the nut.
The pin is very difficult to remove. In the video I am using a ballpein hammer to remove this pin which is heavier than I usually use for pin removal and a lot of force to remove it. You could try a penetrating oil which should help.
make absolutely sure you reference the position of the frame in the video. popping it out in on direction is difficult, popping it out in the other is nearly impossible
Didnt need that goofy ding dong damn music and all the critical parts i needed to see were out of the frame or out of focus. Please show some slow close ups of the small parts inside the frame once assembled
Crap blurry camera. Put Hammer in frame. Put Hammer pin in to hold Hammer. Flip reciever overe and put main spring with strut through frame extension into back of Hammer pocket. Insert hex and tighten which compresses spring. Every single step Andrew did can be simplified as above.
Terrible video. Wish I would have read the comments before I took apart my tc. Doesn't show how everything is supposed to be in there during reassembly.
I thought a pro hunter FX was a type of encore muzzle loader frame and barrel that couldn't come apart or couldn't be taken apart and replaced with a center fire rifle barrel. Meaning this muzzle loader rifle was especially made so a buyer could hunt with this illegal by having a felony conviction. And this type is for a hunter that doesn't want a background check and or is wanted by a law enforcement agency.

when you put the first spring in at 13:30; which direction was it facing? could you show a better picture?

Should you remove the hinge pin to clean your muzzle loader or should you do this minimally to avoid wear?

Is this muzzle loader meant to come apart? If yes did the disassembly/reassembly have any impact on the accuracy/functionality?

wouldn't you remove the scope before you pound the pin out?

need buy this scope "ring mount"for my pro hunter FX , help!

As far as the hammer not coming back you might need to take it to a gunsmith and have them look at it, because there could be multiple causes of that.
I didnt see the breech plug removal
Same question the barrel pin will not come out of my FX and I have hit it harder than I like. Was it extremely hard for you to remove the first time?

Hing pin goes in left to right and out right to left..
Here’s a novel idea...why did you film it basically upside down. This video is more confusing than helpful.

I'm more confused after watching this video than before I started.

Your receiver assembly is out of frame.
Your video is terrible. It's constantly out of focus and you pull the receiver out of the view of the camera on the most important part...
And at the most crucial parts! Great information, poor presentation ruins it.
Need a better video. i can barely see what u doing
gay music

stick to fixing firearms, leave the video production to someone else.
Please lose the music
No help whatsoever thanks for nothing
Extremely poor video!
