This episode of AAH gave me more knowledge how and where the electricity is generated. I learned that there are different types of powerplants (Hydro-electric, Nuclear, Wind, Solar, Natural Gas, Geothermal). I realize how important electricity is and was taught that doing simple activities such as turning off lights, unplugging appliances when not in use and replacing old light bulbs with LED lights can contribute to the conservation of electrical energy.
This episode of Agham Alam Hub Help me alot about electricity. I learned in this episode how electricity being generated, transmitted, and distributed from Power plant to households
After watching this episode of AAH I've learned about how electricity is being generated, transmitted and distributed. I've also learned about how electrical energy is generated in power plants. And how important conservation of electricity is, due to the concern for fast depletion of non-renewable sources of energy in the country, in order to save the environment and the Earth from warming.
This episode of AAH provided me with various interesting and useful facts regarding electricity generation, transmission, and distribution. However, after watching the video, I favor one particular part in it. I am of course referring to the part of the video where they mentioned the process in which electrical energy is generated. I learned that, electrical energy is generated in a coal-fired power plant by burning coal which will generate steam, the steam will then power a turbine that spins a huge magnet inside a copper wire. In this process, heat energy is converted to mechanical energy which is then converted to electrical energy in the generator. Even though the entire video was interesting, this particular process caught my attention the most. - Blaim (9- Solidarity)
In this episode of AAH I learned how Electricity is generated and I also learned about electricity in different places and some of electricity from substations where the voltage is lowered to between 2 to 13 kilovolts. This episode of AAH gave me a lot of information about electricity generation, transmission and Distribution.
After watching this episode of Agham Alam Hub I've learn so much about How Electricity is Generated in Geothermal.First,They used Transmission lines to construct overhead towers or may be underground.Second,Service box is located to measure how much electricity is being used. Lastly, Conservation Electricity is very useful because using too much electricity will cost a bad effect to the humanities.
In this episode of AAH I learned that there has various sources of energy are utilized to provide electricity to power our households, and I learned how this electricity is being generated, transmitted and distributed to our households.
In this episode of AAH I learned how electricity is being transmitted and distributed, from power plants electricity is made to travel along cables and wires called transmission lines.
in this episode of AAH I learned that Conversation of electricity is more essential due to concern for fast depletion of non- renewable sources of energy in the country.
In this episode of AAH episode 32, i was taught about the definition of electricity and its sources including coal, natural gas, oil and other renewable and non renewable energy sources. These are converted to provide electricity to households. There are different types of powerplants that provide electricity such as Hydro-Electric, Nuclear, Wind, Solar, Natural gas and Geothermal. I was also taught how powerplants provide energy through transmission lines and how conserving electricity is important
In the 32nd episode of Agham Alam Hub (AAH) , I’ve learned how electrical energy is generated, transmitted, and distributed; but, before I dive deep on the topic itself, I’m going to give the definition of electricity first. Electricity is defined as the flow of electric charge. It is a secondary energy source that comes from the conversion of primary sources of energy such as coal natural gas, oil, nuclear power, and other renewable and non-renewable sources. Now, let’s describe how electrical energy is generated, transmitted, and distributed. Steam is generated by burning cool, which powers a turbine that spins a huge magnet inside a copper wire. In this process, heat energy is converted to mechanical energy, which is then converted to electrical energy in the generator. We trace the transmission and distribution of electricity from power plants to households. From the power plants, electricity is made to travel along cables and wires called transmission lines. Transmission lines are commonly put up between transmission substations, which are regulated by the National Power Corporation. Transmission lines may either be constructed overhead on towers or they may be underground. They are operated at high voltages send out large amount of electrical power and extend over considerable distances. Electricity from substations is transmitted to distribution systems, wherein the voltage is lowered to between 2 to 13 kilovolts. Electricity is taken through the lines to a pole transformer or a transformer box if underground and voltage is lowered again to between 120 to 240 volts. From here, electricity comes into households through a service box, where a meter is located to measure how much is used. Wires take electricity around household powering light and all other appliances. Due to the concern for fast depletion of non-renewable sources of energy in the country, conservation of electricity is important. In order to save the environment and the earth from warming conservation of electricity is necessary. Doing simple activities such as turning off lights, unplugging appliances when not in use, and replacing old light bulbs with led lights, can contribute to the conservation of electrical energy.
