    Thank you so much for this video. I've been having LOC without any warnings and this is one of the tests I need to have. I had one before over twenty years ago so I don't remember a lot. I also have aspergers so anything new is filled with anxiety for days however thanks to you making this video I feel more relaxed about it. You have a calm voice and are clear and concise. Thank you so much.

    This video is very helpful - I’m going to have an EEG soon and I learned a lot with this video and am less nervous.

    Thank you very much, I had no idea that the testing had changes in it. Now I can be fully prepared 😉.

    Those pencils ✏️ pull the hair out. When they are coloring the dot on the head. And removing the wires. The tape also pulls the hair out. Some people are not easy with that. I know it hurt the last time. It will be time for another soon. This time I might just get a buzz so it doesn’t hurt as bad.

    I go in for an EEG next month. I’m in the process of getting a VNS to help control my epilepsy. After the EEG I’ll have to get some brainwaves tests done. Me getting this done has been long overdue. I’ve had it with epilepsy. I’m tired of it making me feel angry and depressed most of the time. It sucks.

      @@dynasty7229 I did. However, I’ve been having second thoughts about getting that device mainly because the battery will have to get changed every few years. Now I’m thinking about giving that CBD oil a try.

    This is great! I have just set up the first adult inpatient video EEG telemetry service in East Africa and we are looking for materials to help explain the service to patients. May I share this video with our marketing team? With many thanks and thank you for making this video!

      Hi! I've been thinking long and hard about it for over a year now and still trying to work out how best to do it (if at all). There are lots of issues that need to be considered. Bw Simon

    Is it a problem if you have barely slept the night before the test?

    • @DrSimonFreilich
      @DrSimonFreilich  2 місяці тому

      Hi, not at all. We sometimes encourage sleep deprivation as it can add certain information, and it's helpful if we capture drowsiness and sleep. Bw Simon

    What about if can't sleep? What will happen?

    • @DrSimonFreilich
      @DrSimonFreilich  4 роки тому +3

      If you can't, you can't. There's still plenty of information to be gleaned regardless. If a sleep recording is a necessity then you'll be advised on next steps as there are options. Bw Simon

    Why isn't it a cap? Should be a cap

      Outside of research settings with hi density electrodes, I've yet to encounter English neurophysiologists use caps for a standard recording. Bw Simon
