You should attach a circle ring the same size as your platform that you can attach a shower curtain to so you have some privacy while outdoor showering. The circle rod can fold down when you're not using it, while traveling and clasp it with a little hook.
Such a cute couple and I am impressed with their enthusiasm about their basic teeny tiny travel home. So cute and you can see the enjoyment they have for their tiny builds.
I saw the previous video of the tiny A-frame, and i was impressed with that one. Now, I'm even MORE impressed with their micro travel trailer! I love this couple, and what they've built!
I was thinking about adding space for a baby, my dad made a bed for my little sister that hung from the ceiling of our vw van. She slept right above my parents heads. My brother and I slept under their bed with our heads sticking out from under the bed. We brought our cats with us too. I love how clever the space has been utilized. Looking forward to your new ideas for the new cabin
I saw this and the A-frame. I can't wait to see what you two do next when your child arrives and gets to enjoy the wonder of exploring nature with you!
They have created, creative & successful ways to make their micro home work exactly how they need it & what makes THEM HAPPY! That's all that matters & they're living their BEST life on their own terms, this is something that others only talk about or dream of, they've made what makes THEM HAPPY, INTO REALITY! KUDOS, safe travels & Congrats on your addition of Joy & Love!🩷🥳👍
If you get the chance, go check out their NEW BUILD!! They're now able to accommodate their baby, fitting a bassinet for her and even a bedroom for themselves. All in all, a more roomy space for everyone. I really enjoy both, but this one seems more fitting for a solo traveler and the new upgrade is awesome for their little family. Was nice to see the transition so I thought I'd share.😊 Well done.👏
It sure is tiny but they are just using it for traveling and not fulltime living. It's cute and they have put a lot of thought and energy into it. They are happy and seem to be enjoying life which is nice to see!
What a super functional camper idea on the cheap. I love how spare it is and the shower and toilet ideas are simple and efficient for temporary usage - the shower "floor" is a great, simple solution. The "table/desk" is great, too. And I'm sure the heater makes everything better.
Such a cute space. I can see where it can be easily customized for anyone to use. To make it even easier to tow, perhaps a small build-out over the tongue to improve the air flow on the road. It's great that it's so lightweight because that makes it much easier to manage for many small cars to tow. A suggestion for the door would be to attach a barrel bolt which is where there is a little knob to lift up so it moves in the direction you want. The most expensive one I could find on the Lowes site was $7. Another option might be a chain guard, typically used inside, but locking type can be used from either side of the door. You may wish to consider functioning shutters for the great windows to protect them while traveling down the highway and they'd look rather attractive when opened up at the camp site.
I'm getting prepped to build a 4x6 for my Jetta station wagon. Less horsepower so I'm going 2 ft shorter. Plan for full-time for myself, 19 year old (employeed & in college) & 80 lb service dog! Crazy as it sounds, it would be an upgrade to our accommodations for the past 2.5 years!
Hi guys congrats on the build, also the addition to the family. If you are going to get rid of this down the road,I'll be interested.Jappy trails to you both
Beautiful! I can see " out house" but not as a bathroom but a home on wheels you travel and live out of your house! Both are beautiful! I love both homes and nothing to dislike. Im an ocean /sea lover ships, etc, and that ship window is fantastic!Thank you for sharing!
Such a great idea!!! This is how our grandparents & grand parents built things ❤...there were no home deport or Lowes back then...just old fashion engineering & free lumber & parts. Love it!! Great job & fantastic idea!! Happy Travels to you both!! ❤❄☃🎄
Fantastic, beautiful and clever ! Well done Jack and Riley . The essential is there to be free and move everywhere. Cool ! Thank you very much for sharing 🙏🏻👌🏻❤
That's incredible! I've been thinking of building something very similar but using a 4x8 ft Harbor Freight trailer. I have a small pickup with a 4 cylinder engine so your design is perfect. So many thoughtful details in your design. Very inspiring!
This is adorable! So creative and efficient! My first thought was, "Hey, I'd buy that when baby comes!', but I live in an apt. with no place to park it.
I love this video as well, fun to see the 2nd one of theirs. So exciting their family is growing, Congratulations to them! I hope they will be able to sell or pass on this micro camper for someone else to create memories in!
Omg!!!! I literally have the same flat bed and I'll be starting mines in April!!! Everyone said that 32 square feet is impossible....but I see it is!!😍😍😍
I’m working on a 32 sq. ft. one on a 4’X8’ trailer too! I’m in desperate need of a tiny sanctuary for use as an ADU with all the amenities, so there’s no reason to leave for as long as I like. There will be a 2’X2’solar shower/bathroom area, solar porch lights, but most electrical will come from shore power or battery power. It’s got VERY small fresh/grey water tanks, a 2’X2’ kitchen space. Everything inside is either collapsible, convertible, or multi-use. Eventually I would like to make it all solar to be free of the cord.
Unique! I thought for sure that side couch would be sorta 'futon-like' and the seat would slide forward and the back would drop to convert to a bed added to the back sofa. That whole move the board slats thing seems a bit awkward . . . but . . . to each his own.
This is super creative! Every little space is utilized in an efficient and smart way. I personally am planning on getting a 13’ Scamp trailer someday, because I know my Outback will easily be able to tow it. We might even be able to get away with a 16’ one. Fiberglass makes it all much lighter.
Im really happy with your channel. Ita giving me such great ideas. I myself am still trying soooo hard to leave a bad relationship and your channel is giving me hope
@@jameslaiola4976 Any breakup is difficult and fraught with anxiety. I wish you courage, strength and self-love. You know what to do, James. Take the leap, your happiness and joy will return. Best Wishes.
This is the right size for me to travel in. I have a 5x10 small flat bed trailer, including tongue - so a 5x8 probably - I'll measure tomorrow. At 74, this is a really exciting journey for me - and even though these are a young couple - they have things really figured out. I have met several older ladies that would love to go on trips. This would do it. Really have my mind spinning with thoughts. thanks much for bringing this video to us!!
This is a prime example of utilizing space going vertically , you’re able to fit a lot of essentials ! Sooo cozy and nice , if my husband and I had no children this would be super fun to build and travel in ❤
Love this micro tiny cabin. It's easier to tow and maneuver a smaller cabin compared to the bigger ones. As for the size, I prefer at least 1 foot wider. Hey, Jack did a very good job for a low cost travel cabin. And he's gonna construct a bigger one soon. I wish him good luck.
Really wasn't a fan of the A frame but this little bedroom on wheels is nice. Very practice and seems like the limitation of size/weight made them build just the essentials for trips. Like a mix of a mobile tent and a small tiny house. I could see this perfect for camping or weekend boondocking.
Thanks 👍💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 what creativity! Like a art and craft class ! Thanks 👍💕 Riley is really joyful , congratulations on your pregnancy 🎉🎉🎉🎉 you guys rock ! I am looking for ideas on building another tiny house but you guys really used ordinary buckets
I won't lie I could handle that by myself but with two people in there I would feel claustrophobic. I think it's wonderful that they were able to create this and they're both so happy.
The car can be utilized for private thinking, reading, private conversations on the phone, during arguments, etc. My concern is the cramped area for sleeping. There is absolutely no room for a pregnant lady, turning over or when someone's back goes out. Also, it's not safe to go traveling alone. I love how they were able to find a space for everything. The toilet situation right in the vehicle is horrible and unhealthy.
@@margarettickle9659 ...chillout....the toilet...is..COVERED...alone? Not safe?...I been doing it for 3 years...and I,m...75....with,NO ISSUES...I ,ve slept in ALL,..kinds of places
Just an idea from my family to yours we have a similar travel toilet that we use with ourselves and our three children and we bring along a bucket of kitty litter so that we only have to empty the plastic bag once a day or every other day and it reduces our plastic waste. We just sprinkle kitty litter over top of the waste until the bag is full. Just an idea. :)
This is a great idea! And when I went camping years ago, I bought a pop-up “potty” or “dressing room” tent to use potty bucket in. Was perfect & folded up & took no space at all. Plus they have that outback to store lots of stuff in.
I wouldn’t use anything but natural materials for the toilet… some of the commercial stuff is not environmentally great and if added to a septic system can totally clog it and the pipes on the way down.
@@laceym3662 I realize that, but where then does it get dumped? If i to some other septic system, then what I say holds. And if into the earth, then better to have decomposable earth compatible material in the bucket with the human waste.
I built a small trailer using the same frame but used a row boat for the roof that you could pull out and go fishing. Had fun and most everything came from different recycle centers. I would post a picture but there is no place that I can see here on this site. Jon

I was thinking the exact same thing
It could also double as a basketball hoop, in case you feel like playing!
This is a very good idea! It’s always good to have options.
Greta idea! I also thought they should at least have a shower curtain.
