I just heard Drug Church for the first time opening for Alkaline Trio, and they're coming at me from so many cool angles that I wouldn't have thought they would have. I love these guys and their sound.
Absolutely outstanding band. Cheer is a perfect album. Pushing hardcore perfectly into a different realm. I've not heard a more perfect album within hardcore in a long time.
Everyone is excellent in this performance, but can we all just take a moment to appreciate both boys on guitar absolutely KILLED it while wearing shades indoors!🤘🏻
I'm gonna see them live for the first time next month, and i am so unbelievably stoked. Drug Church is all I've wanted to listen to for well over a week now. Edited to add: this performance is fucking incredible.
Just discovered them through Spotify... made my day! Awesome band. Smartass frontman. They remind me of Swain a bit. Will be bumping Drug Church the whole week, maybe more
Came to say its funny that even for the audio version of this they left in and didnt rerecord the Patricks mishap in the last song but holy shit, IT'S BEEN 7 YEARS AND A MONTH ALREADY WTHHH? Im still coming back to this, so great
God dammit Audiotree! You brought me so much live goodness throughout the years! Drug Church is now going to be my new listen-to-everything band for the next month. Love your stuff. And So I Watch You From Afar were the ones that got me into this channel actually. And I would looooove if you got Lost In The Riots or Idles on. Daaaamn that would be the sex!
Cool sound! Nothing wrong with an original approach and conglomerate flow down of what you grew up on. At least they’re rocking and having some fun! I hear Lemmy with Joey Santiago and sonic youth rhythm. 😂 Nice work dudes!
whoever mixed this deserves a medal
Agreed!! I always watch this set. Love it. Sounds great!!!!
its like a bunch of hardcore kids trying to sound like the pixies... and the neighborhood drunk is doing vocals. so rad.
Funnily enough Pat doesn't drink at all
neighborhood drunk in the sweatpants lolol i love it!
that perfectly describes them, and they are amazing. I hear The Jesus Lizard.
Is this a compliment or an insult? Tf?
@@KELTONWOLFE I would assume the "so rad" at the end meant it was a compliment
3 years later, this is still one of my top AL performances ever
0:44 - Drunk Tank
3:43 - Bagged
10:29 - Aleister
16:02 - Work-Shy
22:27 - Weed Pin
29:40 - But Does It Work?
MVP
It's been too long now. The internet really needs more Drug Church live.
I like how Pat has to back up, put up his hands, and close his eyes between more intense lyrics like “fuck, I said it now I need a sec.”
He’s feeling his truth and his experience flow out unfiltered.
Pure emotion, honest and acerbic.
You wouldn’t expect a group like this to have such great tone but here we are.
Why not?
sounds so much more aggressive than the actual songs from the album, i love it
best band with the coolest riffs in the game
don’t ya just love these bots
Awesome riffs!
The chord choices are the best part
Super good band,
and their singer is a very good talker, very funny to listen.
Saw these guys live and he was hysterical
@@trevorw4566 he always has been such a wonderful human.
Should listen to his podcast: worst possible timeline

Same, went to see Alkaline Trio and saw these guys beforehand now I’m addicted

as a guitar player, imma say, that's tuff 😎
Nick Cogan is an animal
Amazing band. Saw them live in Brooklyn with The Chats, one of the best shows ive seen
Nirvana hat... Steely Dan shirt... Sick songs... Tight band.
I really admire how much personality this band has. On top of that this performance sounds so unreal. Thank you Audiotree
29:50 The microphone didn't work at the beginning of but does it work? Life imitates art
Haha yea I think thats why he laughed briefly when the sound came back
“Do a show at audio tree nothing works “
Drug Church are just a delight of a band in every way.
I would sacrifice the lives of everyone in this comment section to see these guys live
We understand.
Bro I’ll float you $30, you don’t have to kill all of us…
seen them twice this year lol
It's ok we get it
One of the better interviews I've seen on this channel and what a good band
I'm gonna see them live for the first time next month, and i am so unbelievably stoked. Drug Church is all I've wanted to listen to for well over a week now.

Check out End of a Year. His first project.
He actually does look a lot like Tony Hawk. Also, band should be a bigger deal than they are.
Bear Grylls
I say Rob Thomas
You ever wonder if anyone asks him that at airports?
Tony hawk looks a lot like him
Yo he literally looks like Bear Grylls, Rob Thomas, and Tony Hawk smashed into one person 😂
love this band. nice and heavy guitar sound with gruff vocals. what more could you ask for.
If you follow up on Patrick's recommendations about Creative Adult and Spiritual Cramp, you'll be a happy camper.
Probably one of the best bands I ever saw live. Pure power!
Just discovered these guys! Holy fucking hell, my new favourite band!!!
Came to say its funny that even for the audio version of this they left in and didnt rerecord the Patricks mishap in the last song
but holy shit, IT'S BEEN 7 YEARS AND A MONTH ALREADY WTHHH?
Im still coming back to this, so great
The riffs always remind me of joy division, awesome performance
I known just one song from them but this got me interested even more, cool dudes. Especially the drummer is full on savage and neat at same time
God dammit Audiotree! You brought me so much live goodness throughout the years! Drug Church is now going to be my new listen-to-everything band for the next month. Love your stuff. These guys and Microwave were the best part of the Boston Manor Gig I saw last Friday.
Love the Pixies acknowledgement followed up with the most Black Francis, ''Ooooohh'' @08:34 I've ever heard haha
Only just discovered this band tonight and what a discovery!!
“I didn’t wanna put you on front street with your balding head” just glorious.
This turned me on to so much music. Thank you
I just saw Drug Church in Seattle last night. I literally thought the building was going to be burnt to the ground it was so wild
You should have started a chemical fire
I used to cut chris's hair monthly and it looked wonderful. :) miss you buddy
An intelligent interviewer. Nice. Great answers from an intelligent lead screamer
This set is so clean.
Cool sound! Nothing wrong with an original approach and conglomerate flow down of what you grew up on. At least they’re rocking and having some fun! I hear Lemmy with Joey Santiago and sonic youth rhythm. 😂 Nice work dudes!
Maybe a little J Mascis.🤙
Bagged is literally a perfect song
No kidding. Has always been my favorite DC song.
This comment inspired me to check out the version from the album and its been on constant rotation for a month
Say these guys live they were dope 😝
i love everything about this
I became a fan instantly
His vocals remind me of Lemmy from Motorhead which is radical
When they kick into Aleister I get goosebumps every time
Nice! Thank you, Audiotree!
I can get Lemmy in his vocals on first song, pretty weird, pretty badass.
guitar riff makes me die happy
17:50
Good god Work Shy is so fucking hard
Que buena banda 🤘🏼😌 saludos desde Bolivia 🇧🇴
Love this band!!
Love the Drummer smiling....
The singer's mannerisms while singing reminds me of David Thomas of Pere Ubu.
drunk tank sounds incredible
Nice rep'n St. Louis! Tour that new album and older albums in ST Louis
Joder, que Weed Pin nueva 😮. Madre de Dios.
that new song kicks so much ass
melodic unsane.
Exactly what I thought lol
Anybody got a link to the Jesus lizard video he was talking about?
ua-cam.com/video/9cT5UlUFQ98/v-deo.html This one I think.
I’ve just found this! I wonder if there’s a self defence family session? Hmmmm....
i love the singers singing, it sounds different, been expecting drug church to be here
love this band
No fair, they planned to have that mic signal cut out in the beginning of But Does It Work?
i fucking love this band
When I heard this band and Have you Considered Punk Music, Patrick is not the guy I pictured that voice coming from
Sick fucking band so cool to see them live twice in a row with tssf
Nice band!
10/10 band
Great! Couldn't sit still.
This is great. My only complaint is how can anyone only be into ‘half’ of The Jesus Lizards catalog?
A tad shirt and a nirvana hat and bad ass songs literally in love AND HE MENTIONS JESUS LIZARD
Anyone know the Jesus Lizard video Patrick is talking about?
I hear Bane and some Champion when I think of influence.
Love the music a lot. The vocalist is hard to get into though.
But this style fits him better than self defense family did.
thats a rough take
14:53 Christian Bale...i mean, Bruce Wayne, is that you?
The Candysnachers never stop!! hahah
Missed influence: Placebo. Haha. But it goes nicely with Pixies.
This is what Title Fight was supposed to be after Floral Green!
Hyperview is a masterpiece anyway
Weird take but I respect it
Hey blood. Good shit.
Patrick looks like the Israeli mentalist Lior Suchard.
OH FUCK
Anyone got any ideas on the pedal combo Nick uses for the lead riff in Weed Pin?
I'm not 100% positive, but i believe the vibrato effect on the amp(jc120) is being pushed and is also using a chorus pedal
dis band me faz muito feliz
Man as a guitar player I really admire nick and Cory but these kinds of comments have gotta creep them out
@@trippwilsonphoto eu realmente acredito que eles não leiam os comentários
Hmm this is giving me a cool Attila/pop punk vibe. really digging it!
lmao
Please no
HE SAID ATTILA LMAO
I just can't grasp the fact you said that
Dude literally talks about your god awful take in the new live session lmaooo
need a orthodox church guys !!!
Real good. I'd love to see self defense family on here one day
Have you seen End of a Year's (SDF) Waiting Room session? It's real good.
@@flawed_vision I hadn't. Thank you.
Fucking send it!
awesome
Nancy France and Emmadazey!!!
i love patricks vocals. i dig drug church and sdf, but i don't think anything will top sincerely by end of a year for me at least.
drummer mad good
Cool
Fuck this is so good
fuckin Kid Rock Christian Bale hahahahahahaha
Love the Tad tee!!!! Great band tho!!!
Is it a Tad shirt of a Tar shirt? Equally great bands imo
Ya know know that he said that he does kinda sound like Kid Rock when he talks lol
Fucking best band right now
what is he ever talking about
hell yeahhh!!
