@@exactopposite How is it myth when I have been doing it for many years and it's still works. You are not trying to preserve the Avocado for days. It's to keep it looking fresh for a few hours. If you want to keep it fresh for days, then pick an unripe one.

Had me a woman once, she was the same way - didn't like that tuna. So I tossed in some pineapple and got her to try it. Now she loves both the chicken and the tuna and makes it herself. I hold the onion though.
You need to scrape that peeling down. That green stuff sticking to it isthe very best part of the avacado from a health standpoint and loaded with flavor.

pickles are a welcome addition some cottage cheese adds surprising impact (have used dill instead of cilantro (which tastes terrible to some people)

Not true. He added lemon juice which preserves the avocado color.

@@mjw12345 Submerged is too much. A half of a lemon squeeze is enough. Putting too much lemon juice ruins the taste of the avocado.
