I was really looking forward to making this shawl since I totally love butterflies, but after making it to the first butterfly it starts getting very confusing. I tried my best to follow instructions but was disappointed that it wasn't coming out the correct way. I'll be on the look out for a video of this shawl so I can try it again.

Is there an easy way to make the butterfly border to edge this shawl? I may have to try and play with it when i get my shawl done. :)

I am trying this, needing to use the graph to suss it all, so going back and forth. One thought, it would be easier if the graph showed the third set of 3 butterflies.

All rows of butterflies are made the same. Just add one butterfly each time to desired size. In the end, I show how to make the last rows.

May I please ask what size crochet hook and what ply wool x
I dont know why she didnt reply but liked your comment because it is a HUGE help to communicate.. otherwise this shawl will turn out super small. Use a large hook like 6.5-7 and 4ply yarn I used a 5mm hook and 4ply and it was so small I would have been working the last repeat for ages.

What are the dimensions of this shaw? The size?
You can make any size. In each next band with butterflies add one by one. When you think that's enough, finish it. It depends on the thickness of the yarn and your desire.
