Same. Just finished it last week after a 2-3 week run. The ending with Akko and the Shiny Rod (not saying more, spoilers) hit me hard... The expression on her face, to me, was the accumulation of her journey, going back to the first episode. Akko made me believe in Magic and Anime again. The same feeling I had when I was 12 years old and saw Sailor Moon for the first time.

Diana did lose her inner magic but regained it through extremely hard work when she was young. It's explained in the last half of the 2nd season
