RAW: Professional Skimboarding Competition in Prime Shorebreak Waves

Congratulations to Isabel Blanco for being crowned the Female United Skim Tour Champion for her first time. Yahir Valencia took first in the Men's Pro division after an incredible performance all weekend long. He was dropping the highest heat totals and had the highest single wave score of a 9.58 out of 10. Also a big congratulations to Casey Kiernan for winning the women's pro division. The 2023 Oktoberfest had awesome conditions and incredible talent in attendance. This is an incredible event to watch and participate in.

The amount of skimboarding talent present in the younger divisions is mind blowing. The young bloods now hold the keys to a loved sports future. More importantly or equal to is the grace, joy and dignity the younger bring to sport. Skimboarding’s legacy is advanced and secured in this generations stewardship of sport. Well done gromsters! Blair was the Chris Henderson must have been his son Zack. Last time I was Chris was at Waimea his Victoria Skim board agaist my Sandy Beach Designs custom Johnny Alferd. Many years ago. Who can say they been taught by Scott Manley and Chris Henderson only in Hawaii.

Without the SoLag OGs from the 80's and 90's. Who innovated and killed it. Set the foundation of Skimboarding for future professionals. Gave everything I had to help these kids enjoy the living they do. Don't forget that. I ripped harder than 90% or more than what I see. We did exactly what you do. Without watching videos. We made the videos. Not a whole lot of difference between today and then. Just everyone has a camera in their pocket. Even to have pictures from back then is rare
