In this video, we're making a fast indoor/outdoor mini racing drone from some common materials, also using a JJRC/Eachine drone receiver board with a mini transmitter.
With a calculated top speed of around 30-35kph or 18-21mph, this racing drone is a true racer! It can handle being flown outdoors even in windy-ish conditions!

No, it won't work. You'd need a different receiver with brushless ESCs for the motors.

The cost for making this drone was about $10, the cost may vary depending on what parts you already have and don't.
Sorry about the unavailable product on that link, I couldn't find a substitute controller that's in stock, you'll either have to do a bit of your own searching around to find the corresponding part, or wait til the part is back in stock for that link. I don't really have any control of that.

I have several types of coreless motors with props and build light frames with 3d pen. None of them seem to get off the ground and the motors end up hot.
You need higher performance coreless motors intended for mini drones, you can check out my latest mini drone video on my channel and check the video description for the product link to the coreless motors I'm talking about.

Hi there. Lightweight cameras such as 2-megapixel micro action cams may work. Anything heavier than 10 grams will restrict the drone from taking off into the air.

At the moment, it is hard to acquire this exact transmitter. It is unavailable in online stores. I will one day focus on making an Arduino based drone that anyone can get the parts for. Cheers.

Hi. Thanks for watching! You could build yourself a drone with such receiver and battery. However, you'd probably need to scale up the frame in size (a bit) as well as the coreless motors.

Yes. However, since it's heavier than a 6mm motor, you'll need to better manage the weight of the frame and batteries to accommodate for these wider motors.

I do something similar with the legs but i flare my legs, on the upper portion, by making 3 cuts and fanning the top "wings" outwards, so when i drop the leg into the arms loop, it will naturally have resistance and not go any further. It provides that extra amount of security that I like having, so when I land or take off, the motor doesnt slip put up or out down. To prevent slipping down, you can make 2 slight cuts a few mm apart on the bottom bottom, and bend that portion in. When you place the motor in that bent in part will naturally clip the motor in place.
You sound ahead of your craft! That seems like a more secure solution for DIY drones when using cable raceways. Thanks for the tip!

Hi. Not just any controller works. You need to purchase or find a drone's receiver and transmitter pair that are programmed to work with one another.

Hi there. Thanks! You cannot easily sync a different factory remote and foreign receiver together as they're most likely programmed to operate on different channels and bands on a certain frequency.

Name of the receiver you used
It does not have a "name", only a model number by which you will not find it online anymore. You can acquire these receiver boards online. This one came from a broken Eachine E010 drone.

I suggest you do your own research online in your own country's online stores.
What soldering tool do you use?

The mAh is simply current capacity, not like voltage. More voltage would damage the board, yes. However, more current capacity (mAh) will simply give your drone a longer run time but make it heavier.
You can safely use that battery assuming it's 1S (one-cell)

Hi, yes you can, but as any other little camera would probably outweigh the drone, we'd need to attach one with a small camera sensor which has a really simple function of just filming to a Micro SD card. Then I believe such a setup would work.

Hey! I know its been a while since this video was uploaded, but i have a question. Im making an autonomous variation of your drone design, using a XIAO ESP32S3 Sense microcontroller, an mpu6050, and drv8833 motor drivers, I have 320 mAh lipo battery, and am using a tri copter design with 3 motors instead of 4, but for some reason, it stalls after running for a little bit at high speeds, do you have any idea why this is?
Hi there! Such issue sounds like something coming from the motor driver's end. You may have picked a motor driver too weak for the higher currents the motors reach when at full throttle. You will definitely need to check that first. Cheers.

Cool, You ever have any problems with over discharge on those batteries
Not that I've experienced. The circuit board regulates that and cuts off power for flight when the battery gets too low. However, it is up to you to unplug the battery to prevent over discharge from the light load of the blinking LEDs.

You need a controller remotely connected to it via Radio Frequency, yes. No pairing needed, powering on the two devices simply does it.
