I watched these Amazon videos during my interview prep for an Operations Manager-Delivery Operations and had my loop interview via Amazon Chime. Your channel helped so much. I know I would not have been prepared enough if I hadn't taken your advice. Most important advice is time to prep and practice your answers. I advise against going into this without spending 2 weeks getting your situations down pat and being able to spin them to answer these questions. I interviewed Thursday and received an offer Friday. Please tell me is the following example good for the weakness or I should change it? If it's good do I need to correct some parts of it?
Before entering to the professional industry, I had to luxury to make most of the decisions in a project or other group assignments as most of the time I used to lead my team. After I took my first step to my professional career initially, I found it hard to leave the decision-making part of the task to my supervisor. I love to communicate with my colleague and supervisor but I in past have found difficultly to have my work judged by someone who has not seen my efforts. However, I quickly realized that it was not a criticism of my work but rather it is a review to give me a constructive feedback to improve my work to make me better. After finally learning this it has help me improve a lot as all of the progress I have made is because of my team leader reviewing my work and giving me constructive feedback
If my understanding is correct, your weakness is insubordination? A bit dangerous, especially for entry level roles. I am not saying this is a bad example, but questioning its meaning.
Then, when talking weaknesses, the idea is to focus on your learnings - those are quite brief in your example.
Last but not least, you should link your example to one of the 14 principles - this way it will be easier to evaluate it.
And I have not seen quantifiable information here, maybe give a bit more detail as to team size, what types of projects you’ve worked on etc

This is for SD role.
My answer is :
My biggest weakness is procrasination.
I remember 6 months ago when I decided to apply for amazon SD roles and I decided to focus on data structurre and algorithms . At the beginning , I wasn’t able to have commitment on what I was doing. So I focused on the commitment , discipline and consitency and in my opinion
, I see that when I applied those concepts and avoided to be a procrastinator . I managed to grasp the knowledge and to be on the amazon on-site interview .
Note : I didn’t use STAR method here . Is it ok ?

you actually used STAR in your example; the example looks fine for a L1 SDE
Nice videos, thanks. I would like to say that the "perfectionist" card is not a good answer. For many people in HR this answer is a cliche, that has been used for a long time. Be aware of this.

Do behavioral questions need to be answered as project and work related only or can they be from personal life too if no work related ones come to mind.. like for eg. " Tell me about the toughest decision you've had to make "

I would highly recommend using you own :) The examples in the video (directness, sales exp or public speaking) are only for brainstorming purposes.
