Great filters, the new fx2 has opened up options for fish keepers to get smaller medium sized tanks. Running an fx6 on a 240 litre to 400 litre tank is just way too much flow per hr
I have the FX4 and hope to add the FX6 for my 110 gallon community tank. I am very happy with this filter. It is very easy and handy to clean and service. I will be shunting my big sump filter and adding the FX6. Very difficult to service the sump filter and it takes up a lot of room and is noisy.
Nice filter, but it will be nice if you Fluval add another tray container so it make the whole entire external filter bit higher and more benefit for colonising the good bacteria. Keep the size as fx2 and put the pump capacity from fx4 and remake the hose size as 407. Call it a fx3 or fx2 pro.
Has this been released in the US market yet because I have yet to find one? I'm wanting to switch most of my larger tanks over to canisters from sponge filters just for sound reduction in my little fish room. This massive air pump I currently have is super loud

Hello, I just ordered this fx2 filter but I know see you list the max distance between the top of the tank and the water level being 8”. Do you sell an accessory to lower the pickup and discharge lines lower into the tank? I’m using in a turtle tank and I can’t use that much water. Thanks
Hi there! FX Series canister filters are gravity-fed systems, which is why the distance between the water level and the aquarium rim can't be more than 8". Accesories for the intake and output assemblies wouldn't help, as the issue is pressure on the pump itself.
@@fluval Thanks. I just set up my fx2 and because I have turtles in a 60G breeder tank it’s only like 16” tall. So I had to mount the intake at an angle and raise the water level a bit. It worked out
I just got this filter literally yesterday and I can't get it to stop spitting out bubbles. If I unplug it, it'll force all the air out and do so again when replugged however it'll run normal for about 30 minutes before it goes back to spitting out air
Hi there, we're sorry to hear about this. It's normal for there to be some air trapped in the filter when it's first set up - it will work its way out over the next few days. You can also try the following: 1. Verify that all media has been removed from its plastic packaging 2. Ensure the filter intake is not positioned near an airstone or any other source of air bubbles in the aquarium 3. Verify that the joint between the intake rubber hose connector and the intake siphon tube is positioned below the water surface 4. Make sure there are no kinks, loops, bends or turns in the hosing 5. Gently rock the filter back and forth and wiggle the hoses to help trapped air become dislodged

Do the FX series filters utilize ECM -electronically commutated motors ? Can the flow rate be adjusted using the inlet and outlet valves without damaging the pump. If so, which would be recommend, reducing the inlet or outlet valve?

The 07 series are great just the ribbed hoses y’all need to make them a bit more flexible it’s like wrestling a snake

Hi there! The FX2 canister filter does not include a utility drain valve as it's compact and lightweight enough to easily be drained manually.

what if my rim is too wide for the provided rim connectors? i cant seem to find any wide style in replacement parts.
