Sometimes referred to as "Gringovilla" . though it is wonderful to make friends in a new Language and Culture , the ease and comfort of sometimes just hanging out with people who "understand you" when you`re feeling homesick .

I spent four months last winter in Panama, mostly in Boquete. The only place where one can buy half-and-half is in Panama City. I had to use milk which was no bueno.

@@nextchaptermexico3283 I just finished watching the episode, and saw your mention of NO. That was always one of our fav cities to visit, back when we lived in TN. Don’t get there often anymore, now that we’re out west. I’m looking forward to my next MX adventure! Gonna check out Campeche, and then Cuetzalan.

You could not have verbalized all the wonderful things that draw me to San Miguel de Allende any better! Well done. I’m in Southern California right now but will soon be moving to the Phoenix area…which is why I bought a place in SMA. No one wants to be in Phoenix in the summer! Looking forward to your videos exploring other Mexican destinations. As a side note…is that your lucky hat or something? It’s looking a little rough. A fashion statement perhaps? Would love to know…..

Haha! Thanks for the kind comments. As for the hat…I have two dogs. One is with me. The other is back in New Orleans. He chewed up my cap when he was brand new. So, that’s his little gift to me. ❤️🐶 It’s a distressed look. :)

Is San Miguel de Allende safe with it being in one of the Mexican states with the highest cartel-activity? Is it noisy living in Centro with so many tourists and celebrations?

Yep Guanajuato state has been absolutely a hotbed of Cartel activity. It's mostly in the city of Celaya and doesn't touch SMA much. But honestly, cartel crossfire is probably less risky than being in an elementary school in the US these days.
And there is definitely noise in Centro. That's why I made a video on it...
