- This bee feeder has many super good benefits to it. And the main benefit is how fast you can meter in feed to your hives.
Other benefits are the feeder isnt anywhere near the entrance, it holds a lot of syrup, costs about the same as other hive top feeders, and if your into quilt boxes you can stuff moisture absorbing material into the top of it too.
Many arguments can be resolved with this bee feeder.

For winter build up,maybe. For brood building, No. I like a trickle feed for brood. This would encourage the bees to plug the brood nest.js

Very good video, I have one and I for a 10 Fran it works well for a while but after it sets in the sugar water very long it will sink and kills to many bees. I am going to try to put a flote up it so it can’t sink.

Funny you mention that because James Craig mentioned the trickle feeding for building brood. And I just made something out of foam insulation you put under vinyl siding that I'm going to block off 90% of the float.
But then with the thing you mention you could put a strip of that insulation on each end of the float.
My friend just told me you can rewax the float. Use parafin or whatever.
