He is very narcissistic and was totally self centred in that me, being absent meant there was no one to cook and prepare his meals! I do understand why he is as he is.. our childhood was not easy and he carries that with him. I process it by crying a lot. But when he turned away from me when I really needed him it proved to me that I simply cant ever rely on him. Painful lesson learned. No I won’t reach out to my sister as I had good reasons to cut the contract 2015 as she was blaming me through words and actions. She didn’t even want to go with me to a family therapy and yes there is generational trauma from both sides - mother and father. And yes I really see my sister in a different way and I was so hard and never expected what she would have said to me over and over again and I had to stop it as she never changed and never ever wanted to take responsibility for her actions and words. And yes, you are right she lost me because nobody needs hurtful person in their life who is causing only pain and suffering.
It’s also true that one friend told me to call my sister again to talk to her, but I refused because I don’t want to be hurt again and because I know she never changes except she makes a therapy herself.
