This is why all beach front should be public property. At least the first 400-500 feet from the shore. Emergency personnel need easy access for events like this. And ALL of us should have access to one of the greatest natural resources in the world.
This still scares me. My bsf mom wanted me to go to the beach but i didnt want to. I am so glad i didnt do it bc this happend a couple miles from me. I did hear a scream but I ignored it. I hope they make it 😕
Was just at the beach (Perdido Key), 2 weeks ago. There are a lot of things that can go wrong in the ocean. Amazing beauty and potential danger all in one. Stay safe everyone. Beach Happy (Perdido Key beach bum for 34 straight years).
Im not going to lie.. I was 10 yards from the older woman who was attacked.. and if I was a part of her family I would be mad as hell. They said their EMS was “seamless” and arrived quickly. She was carried away in the bed of a truck 20 minutes after she was pulled out of the water. If that shark hit her femoral artery.. she would have been dead in 5-7 minutes. Yall are NOT prepared as well as you could be. Take this as a learning experience and do better next time. Her poor kids were losing their minds.
As a physician I can tell you that stabilizing a trauma patient at the scene is the most important part and that takes time in order to securely and safely transport them. I was not there but I hear she is in stable condition now which is promising. So, unless you are a physician or other medical personnel with experience managing traumas, you should tread carefully with your comments.
I was swimming at that same spot yesterday swam all the way past second sandbar
Same I was lucky I got out around like 1 it scary to think about how close you are I hope the people oh k 😢
@@nightcore128Do you people not realize sharks are in the ocean, if you chose to invade their territory then you accept the risks

My best friend is currently REALLY close to where this is occurring, and she is very proturbed by this.

What do you think, they should have people with a waiting ambulance on every beach, you go in shark’s territory there are risks
Don’t be ridiculous, they can’t be there in two minutes, if you’re worried over shark attacks then stay out of their homes
