In this video I will be testing the Shimano SLX DC Baitcasting reel for the first time! This might be the best fishing reel for long casts. This could be the best fishing reel for bass fishing. This fishing reel can also be bought on Amazon. I will take the reel to a local pond to do some bass fishing. I think the best way to do a reel review is to put the reel to the test by catching some fish! I am excited to make this video because this reel is the most popular and iconic fishing reel on the market today. I will share my thoughts about the reel at the end of the video!

I’ve been throwing a Metanium dc for the last 2 years and it’s awesome! $500 is a lot though!

With the DC you don’t adjust the spool tension like a normal bait caster. You tighten it enough to keep the spool from clicking back and forth.

What’s the difference between 150 and 151 and what’s the difference between hg and xg

HG - 7.2:1 gear ratio
XG - 8.2:1 gear ratio

They are how many times your spool rotates per full turn of the handle. So the lower numbers are slower speed reels
