Lovely man. Charles had a very sweet face. Every Memorial Day I watch his remembrance of D-Day he did for PBS many years ago. It was so hard for him to talk about that day, but thank God he did. I will always remember Charles Durning. A hero to his country. A fine actor. A great man.

smiles wistfully - I first saw him as "Sperm-whale Whalen" in the Choirboys, and next as the Politician in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas - a scene that I will never forget and will stick in my memory as the most classic humourous sketch probably ever.

Charles was simply incredible. Both on and off the screen & stage. The work they listed here is just the tip of the iceburg. RIP fine Sir.
