And the trap set at the battle of Endor showed an arrogance, but were somewhat effective...till native teddy bears overwhelmed them. In Rogue One, we see an effective column of troopers actually get railed by urban tactic combat--similar to insurgents in the middle east targeting US troops. The sequel trilogy is where we see stormtrooper power and effectiveness turned into a joke(further proof Disney is ruining parts).
I mean yeah they were the best of the best( not as efficient as jengo clones still) and now they are just bunch of conscripts on a cardboard armor... So sad....
They are actually good. There is someone here on UA-cam, who analyzed the opening scene of A New Hope, and concluded, that compared to the rebels, they were way more accurate. The problem is, that, apart from the opening scene of A New Hope, we basically always see them fight against Main Characters. And even if the average stormtrooper is above average in accuracy, they can't beat very above average individuals like force users (MCs with plot armor).
The only thing missing is Grand Admiral Thrawn in this fantastic video. The Stormtroopers under his command (alongside the Clones) were the most deadly forces the New Republic had ever faced since Vader's 501st Legion. The rebels never understood why these stormtroopers fought such furiously & their determination under Thrawn's leadership

The men/women under Thrawn gained more experience from how he respected their devotion to duty and sacrifice for the Empire. People saw how Thrawn made them better Imperials. In return, Thrawn was more forgiving unless they decided to ignore his chance for them to admit their mistakes. Vader was more for costly assaults while Thrawn wanted results from a very unorthodox strategy that doesn't sacrifice many resources/Imperial blood to achieve. Most of the Imperial cmdrs under Thrawn became much better independently versus others across the Imperial military. Vader didn't like any officer who had the initiative to think for themselves because Palpatine didn't want any elements of the military to have any free will to think for themselves nor the idea of rebelling against the Emperor who was wasting resources for the Death Star. Much of the Imperial heads believed it was a pointless adventure, and Thrawn agreed with them behind most of the scenes. Vader in the new Thrawn novels didn't like Thrawn's command setup, and Vader's Imperial legion became too selfish and showed bias, looking down upon other Imperials (including the Navy) & any notion of alien sentiment. Thrawn used the Imperial stormtroopers whenever they were deemed very necessary but didn't use them much as others did to solve some challenges he could not defeat with his great strategic mind & the military power of his star destroyer. He gave them more of a chance to live longer and took into consideration their well-being to some extent. Hence, when the time would arrive, they fought more furiously against the New Republic in Zahn's books. They all believed in Thrawn's ability to restore the Empire, and he almost did that as Heir to the Imperial Galactic empire. In terms of blitzkrieg tactics, Thrawn fits much better then Vader.

He also used more calculating and tactical maneuvers to eliminate his enemy, never fully committed to a fight that would result in high casualties, never brought in reinforcements when unnecessary, and was not shy about retreating when the odds were turning against him. These moves made him the most dangerous asset the Empire had after Vader and Tarkin. Hence why many fans affectionately referred to him as "Space Rommel" after the German general Erwin Rommel.

This is the big difference. The Empire is not focused on these issues. Star Wars does have romance but does not focus on sexuality. It is cool that Star Wars has a whole majestic Empire villain that you can admire WITHOUT it being a racist organization. There is nothing wrong with loving the Empire since they never were focused on purposely cutting down someone‘s self esteem for not being pretty enough or healthy. On the contrary, Vader and the stormtroopers have cheered up many cancer patients with visits to hospitals. Anybody trying to use the Star Wars Empire as a Form of covert neo-Nazism will sooner or later be disappointed since the Empire does NOT and never did promote a militant sexual racist agenda that puts people down based solely on their physical looks. The OLD canon Empire did NOT do this either! Yes, Palpatine had distrust of aliens joining the imperial forces but their war crimes were NEVER based on race nor sexuality and so glorifying the Empire is really…a wholesome activity. The Empire did no wrong… instead they cheer many families up and visit sick people. We are fortunate to have Star Wars. I mean that what always Stormtroopers were about. Breaking the enemy line with heavy assault machines and starships and then improve the further attack with strike of overwhelming ground forces. Battle of Hoth was perfect example of this Clones usually relied more on dropships or trench warfare, but ironically they were always became an easy for target for enemy's anti-air defence and artillery which caused the collosal losses of both men and vehicles. Basically a main reason why the clone army was so expensive to sustain. If Star Wars didn't simp over the clones and did the opposite for the STs for being "evil", in long run Stormtroopers would be a far superior force.
Mainly everyone seen the Empire's main Infantry as imbeciles who couldn't aim. The Empire's workforce was trained to charge in with no fear, and kill as many enemies as possible. The SnowTrooper force that invaded Hoth was some of the Stormtroopers that showed courage in tough situations, and were capable of charging right into enemy fire. We only seen ones affected by Plot Armor.
As a viewer I say this was a no brainer pairing. As an editor I say good idea, needs refinement. A lot of single-frame issues I noticed. Personally think the last minute was the most fitting section of this AMV.
If Star Wars ever get's ripped Out of the Claws of Darth Kennedy, i really hope that real Fans , like the Artist who made this Art , can produce much more Content like this. Maybe about the early Years of the Empire, Grand Admiral Thrawn or when the Trade Federation start to build there Army. Damn, even the Worst Order is cool in this Short Movie.
